Doncaster Vets4Pets – providing the opportunity for Veterinary Nurses to qualify on-the-job
Rebecca Aldren, Vet and Owner of Doncaster Vets4Pets on Wentworth and her team are celebrating that their practice has successfully gained their Training Practice Status certification from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). This achievement of such a high standard of accreditation allows the practice to be able to train students to achieve NVQ veterinary nursing qualifications.
This achievement was a natural progression in providing a higher level of care and professionalism from the RCVS Practice Standards certification that the practice has also gained recently. Rebecca explains; “This is highly significant to the progression and growth of our team and the practice. I hope that clients new and old will feel more comfortable knowing that our practice has gained this achievement and we felt it important to be able to provide, for those wanting to enter the profession, the chance to train on-the-job.” The practice currently has one qualified assessor, Debbie Thomas.

| Newport Vets4Pets Now Open!! |
 |
The first Vets4Pets practice opens in Wales.
A new Vets4Pets practice has opened in Newport on Cardiff Road. …so here’s your chance to ‘Meet the Vets’
Newport Vets4Pets will be owned and run by Paul McCarthy. Paul is a qualified veterinary surgeon and has been involved with small animal practices since he graduated from the Royal Vet College in London, 8 years ago. Along with his wife, Cath and son, Jack, they have lived in Newport for 7 years.
“I enjoy the challenge of improving the service that a client receives. My clinical interests are neurology, surgery and interesting medical cases. I am really looking forward to meeting new clients and having interaction with both the clients and pets at Vets4pets.” explains Paul
Other than looking after pets… Outside of work, Paul likes to spend his spare time with my family. Jack is 2 and a half and is lots of trouble so Paul likes to take him out for walks to tire him out. Paul is also keen on rugby and football, but these days he is limited to being an armchair fan.
The New Practice At the practice you will find a spacious reception, four consulting rooms and modern surgical facilities, including: new X-ray, laboratory and separate cat and dog wards, friendly staff and a child’s play area. Saturday and evening appointments and free on site parking will all help you make your visit to the vet as stress free as possible.
“We can help you look after your pet and we set this practice up to give you great quality, caring and professional veterinary services. We look forward to welcoming you to our practice.” Says Paul
Newport Vets4Pets will be offering a £10 Vaccination special offer fo all customers to take advantage of.
