Client comments
just over 2 years ago my dog had an operation here at vets for pets on his knee. When he came around from the operation he started attacking himself and had to be sedated again. The vet and team were so kind and he stayed over night with koda(my dog) to make sure he was fine. He is now 3 years old and loving being a crazy husky. I really appreciate all the care that they gave koda and couldn't of asked for a better place to take him for his operation. Thankyou to all the team at vets 4 pets especially the vet that done the operation.

Whilst on holiday recently I left my dogs as usual with George and Denise Hodgson who live in Hartlepool (we live in Whitby). One of my dogs is an elderly rescue dog, a Shar Pei called Willow. She has had a rough life before the RSPCA took her in and has been treated for various conditions since we adopted her. While we were away she became very ill and was brought to your practice to be treated as her normal vet is in Whitby. She was diagnosed with Pneumonia and I am told the situation was very serious. She was treated swiftly and kindly by your staff and asked to be returned first thing next morning where she was seen again. I am delighted to say that due to your swift diagnosis and treatment and loving care she received from Denise and George she has made a full recovery. Thank you so much, you undoubtedly saved her life.

The team are always willing to help wherever possible. They are extremely helpful, highly efficient and friendly. The veterinary staff are both knowledgable and are willing to answer any questions you may have. They listen to your experience as an owner and value this in ensuring the highest possible standard of care for the animal, with a genuine and professional passion. This gives piece of mind to the owner and confidence that they are in the best possible hands!! I have used other vets in the past but would rather travel a bit further for the high standards I have seen with a number of pets..large and small!! Fees are reasonable and I am kept up to date with reminders for boosters and other important factors for pet health.. I wish you all the best, and the very best of success for the future!!! x

The team at Hartlepool Vets 4 Pets have been totally fantastic, caring & understanding. As well as looking after my pets, they have also supported me during very difficult times.
Wishing the team the best of luck & may they continue treating our pets.

My dog, Rosie, received very good care from Gert and the team - they were very caring and always showed an interest in Rosie. She was an elderly girl (15 and a half!) and they were very supportive and looked after us all really well. I will always be very grateful to them for this and would highly recommend them to anyone.

"One of my Springer Spaniels was in a bad road accident in September 2009, she was critical initially and had an extensive bad fracture in her leg to the extent where she nearly lost it. Vets4Pets were fantastic and immediately had her transferred to a specialist surgeon where she has now made a full recovery. After using another vets in the town I moved to Vets4Pets and found them to be very caring, its a very modern and clean practise and the staff were exceptional. Highly recommended.

"Gert Briers is a wonderful vet he has kept my old dog going for the last year. He never makes me feel that I am a nuisance and I always feel that he is interested in my dog. Also the staff at the practice especially his wife are kind and caring. I recommend this practice to everybody I know with animals because as a dog owner I know that confidence in your vet is very important.
