I decided to be a vet at age 1. The only career needing A-levels, which my parents said I had to do, in the book "Careers with Horses" was that of veterinary surgeons. Over time the desire to work with horses has lessened but the idea of being a vet has never changed. Having attended Beverley High School for girls and then Hull College of Further Education. I also attended the Royal Veterinary College in London were I graduated in 1989, so I have been qualified for 24 years. My first job was in a large mixed practice based in Nottingham. I spent 6 years there before leaving to take a second degree at the University of Nottingham. To fund this I started doing locum work, which took me to some interesting places, including Guernsey and Alderney. I graduated in 1998 with a 2:1 in English studies and continued to locum until 2 when I moved back to the Beverley area. I then worked for one of the local practices in Beverley, again doing mixed work. This included regular trips to the greyhound racing as track vet for the night and covered the Foot and Mouth epidemic in 2001 when I acted as a TVI. in 2002 the urge to be my own boss sent me back to the world of locums. It has taken longer than I thought it would but I'm nearly there! Over the past 11 years I have worked for a large range of practices which has given me a very wide range of experiences to draw on. I am now looking forward to the challenge of putting those experiences into practice.

I always wanted to be a vet from as early as I can remember. I achieved my dream when I qualified in 1997. Since then I have worked in both large and small animal practice.

I have had pets all my life and currently have two cats and two dogs.

I enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, and with a Golden Retriever and a Border Collie to entertain, I certainly achieve that!

My name is Katy Pyle and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets Beverley. I completed my veterinary nursing qualification in June 2014 but have worked in veterinary practices for the last 9 years.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing but have a particular interest in laboratory diagnostic procedures, emergency care and anaesthetic monitoring. I am also very excited to be holding my own nursing clinics where I hope to be able to meet and help many pets and owners.

I currently own two Yorkshire Terriers and a cat.

Hi, my name is Sue and I am a member of the reception team at Vets4Pets Beverley.

I have spent all my working life (with the exception of a career break to have my family) working at a number of vets. I started as a trainee nurse but now find I enjoy the reception side of the job. It is nice to cuddle all the pets that come in and, of course, to talk to their owners!

I have two German Shepherds (one is a baby) and a golden Retriever, all of which keep me very busy when I am not here.

Hi, my name is Sue and I am part of the reception team here at Beverley.

I have cared for my own pets from a young age and currently have a Lurcher called Biscuit, a Border Terrier called Hiccup, and an elderly cat called Pharaoh. I can’t imagine life without my pets!

After spending a year volunteering at a local dog rescue, I welcomed the opportunity to become part of the fantastic team here, helping other people care for their pets.

Hi, my name is Lesley and I'm one of the receptionists here at Beverley.

I have always had a real passion for animals and my parents were very kind and allowed us a variety of pets during our childhood.

I have worked at the practice since we opened in 2013 and I have gained valuable knowledge and experience thanks to my colleagues. However, the learning experience continues!

Hello, my name is Meryl and I am one of the receptionists here at Beverley Vets4Pets.

I have always loved animals and attribute this to the many happy hours I spent at our smallholding, amongst animals, as a child. We had everything from chickens, ducks and geese to rabbits, ferrets and even a goat.

As an adult I have always had pet cats and dogs, and currently have a little Shih Tzu cross called Lola.

I was delighted to be chosen to be a member of the reception team and love coming to work to see all the beautiful animals.

I have always been a big animal lover and owned lots of animals growing up. I studied animal management at Bishop Burton Agricultural College when I moved to Beverley in 2010.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pets at the moment as I now have a human puppy who keeps me very busy when I am not at work.

Vets4Pets Beverley is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
