Hi, i'm Brian and I am a 2003 graduate from the Royal Veterinary College. Upon graduation, I returned to my native Long Island, NY to work in small animal practice, including being a partner at a busy low-cost clinic. My family and I (wife, 2 daughters and various furry family members) returned to the U.K. in August 2016 to pursue a better quality of life - and we all love life here. I have been working at Blackburn since April 2017, and took the practice on as my own in March 2018! I have a special interest in surgery (both soft tissue and orthopaedic) and quite enjoy meeting all of the new patients that come in daily!

Hi I'm Stacey and I'm the Head Veterinary Nurse here at Blackburn. I have worked in the Veterinary Industry for 16 years and have been a qualified Nurse since 2010. I started at Vets4Pets in 2015 and have worked here at Blackburn since we opened in 2017. I enjoy all aspects of my job but enjoy educating the public on how to care for their pets to give them the best life. Over the years I have visited many Primary Schools to educate young children how to look after and be safe around animals and have taken part in a couple of community events. At the beginning of 2018 i became a Clinical Coach and now have two Students who I am training to become Veterinary Nurses. My spare time is usually taken up with looking after our young daughter, two dogs and two rats....with a holiday or two thrown in if there's time!

Hi! I'm Chloe, a final year student nurse at Edinburgh Napier University (but I'm a Blackburn girl, born and raised!) I completed a placement block at Blackburn at the end of 2019 and I missed everyone so much that I just had to come back this year to join their team. When I have free time outside of practice, and when I'm not studying for my degree, I love binge-watching a good series on Netflix or Prime and I would definitely call myself a bookworm so give me some recommendations if I see you around! I look forward to caring for your fur babies whilst they're in with us, paying particular attention to giving them a good cuddle!

Practice Manager

Hi my name is Claire, I am the Practice Manager at Blackburn. I have been with Vets4Pets since March 2016 on Reception (which I loved) but I always felt I was well suited for a management position. In May of 2018, I was named the Client Service Manager and shortly thereafter was promoted to my current role as Practice Manager. I absolutely love my role, being able to work with a great team, manage an excellent/rapidly growing practice and offer an extremely high standard of care for our patients is very rewarding.

Hi im Sofia. I have been a Vets4Pets employee since 2017, starting out at the Rawtenstall practice and then transferred to the Blackburn clinic in March 2018.Before Vets4Pets I worked as a Receptionist for Vets Now Emergency OOH and have also previously done charitable volunteering for the RSPCA. I have always had pets growing up and currently have two cats at home called Lupo and Lucky. I love working with animals and have found its not just a job to me but also a hobby and hope someday in the near future I can work towards my training as a Veterinary Care Assistant. I look forward to meeting you all with your lovely pets, so please drop in and say hello!
