In 2010, I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, as Veterinary Surgeon after a life long dream that began as a child on my family’s dairy farm.

I had always wanted to work with cows, but soon after graduation I settled into domestic animal practice and found my love for Internal Medicine.

Being a home bird (quite literally), I have always lived in and worked around south Wales, but in 2016 during a locumming period I met Helen.

After immediately hitting it off, and realising that our standards of care, ethics and lifelong plans were the same - we became firm friends and Helen offered me a job at Cardiff Bay as Clinical Director.

In July, 2017, I became a Joint Venture Partner and here we are today.

In October 2016 I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine equipping me with the extra knowledge I craved for my patients.

I am extremely proud of our practice and our team, our standards of care and the high levels of services that we offer.

Hi, I’m Karolina. I have been with Vets4Pets Cardiff Bay since 2019 after qualifying from the University of Life Sciences in Warsaw.
I am originally from Canada and French is my first language (so let me know if you want a consult in French) and also I speak Polish.
I have been told that you will normally hear me before you see me as I am the loudest member of the team - mostly cackling behind the doors of the waiting room!
I have been spoiled working with such a great team who supported me from the beginning and I have also been enjoying meeting all of our clients with their amazing pets!
In my spare time, I love to walk my bouncy spaniel Bilbo Waggins with my fiancé around the Welsh coast line.

I have nursed for over 20 years.

I trained in the charity Blue Cross Merton in London where I credit my skillset base and ethics.

My profession plays a hugely important role in an animals welfare and as a nurse I feel that responsibility every single day.

During my career I’ve worked in many practices, dabbled in management and in 2016 had the opportunity to become a joint venture partner.

I'm proud that only a handful of nurses have achieved this.

In 2018 I was honoured to receive the BSAVA Bruce Vivash award for outstanding contributions to the advancement of small animal veterinary nursing.

I strive to inspire my team each day to provide the best gold standard care for our patients which I wholeheartedly believe we offer each and every day.

Hi I’m Emmajayne,
I qualified in 2015 after obtaining a degree from Hartpury College University.
I have worked in Cardiff Bay Vets4Pets since 2012 and since qualifying, I have gained a certificate in Animal Behaviour - so I’m your girl if your fury family members are feeling misunderstood. In my spare time, I like to keep active with cycling, weight lifting/cross fit and swimming, and taking my two dogs Lilly and Stanley for long walks and looking after my tortoise friend Walter.

Hi I’m Danielle, I’ve been here with my Vets4Pets work family since 2017. I have been a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse, coming up 2 years now.
I enjoy the variety of what I do every single day, and have a super soft spot for Rottweilers.
In the future, I plan to focus on the emergency and critical aspect of nursing, as I find this really interesting.
I own Tyson, a 12 year old GSD cross, and Thor, my 3 year old (slightly insane) cat. They are my world.

Hi, I’m Bethan. I qualified in 2016 from Hartpury University with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. I have been at Vets4Pets Cardiff Bay since 2014.

Since graduating I have completed both a pet health councillor qualification and a small animal nutrition certificate. I am the practice nutritionist and have a keen interest in all aspects of small animal nutrition including devising diets for animals with food allergies and intolerances. I have been appointed as clinical coach and currently mentor 2 student nurses providing support and opportunities for them to complete their training.

At home I love spending time with my daughter, partner and two springer spaniels named Scooby Doo and Duke who are always getting into mischief.

Hi, I'm Kristie. I have just started my first year studying as a Veterinary Nurse. I have previously worked at a horse rescue and a farm park but always wanted to be a Veterinary Nurse. Most my spare time is taken up by my family and pets which include a very energetic Labrador called Eddie, my three cats and two snakes. I also enjoy horse-riding, walking and crocheting.

I've been with V4P for two year but have worked at Veterinary surgeries for 18+ years. I enjoy meeting clients and their furry family members. In my spare time I enjoy reading, crafting and TV and spend a lot of time with my two ragdoll cats.

Vets4Pets Cardiff Bay was taken over by Helen in 2016 and was later joined by Sam in July 2017. We are proud to deliver an exceptional quality service to both client and pet, that is both value for money and of an incredible standard.

We boast a multitude of in house facilities, including K Laser treatment, in house diagnostics (including radiography, in house laboratory, ultrasonography, echocardiography and roaming CT), bronchoscopy, separate cat/exotic and dog wards and complimentary therapies such as acupuncture and medical leech treatment. This is all cutting edge equipment to make sure your pet gets the best in diagnostics and care, right here in Cardiff.

Our staff are highly trained and we are proud to have both vets and nurses that have special interests in areas such as Medicine, Soft Tissue and Orthopaedic Surgery, Animal Behaviour and Pet Nutrition. As such, we very rarely refer to external specialties and many complex cases can be handled in-house.

We work with many different insurance companies and can offer direct insurance claims* without any administration fees – preventing the need for you as a client to pay out large bills and waiting for reimbursement.

Being within a Pets at Home store, we are lucky to also have a large on-site Car Park and owners have the benefit of buying their pet a ‘well done’ treat on the way home, or being a one-stop shop for pet foods and services that cannot be found in other local practices. We are also open 7 days a week, late evenings and weekends.
