Scott Crichton


Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

Joint practice partner Scott Crichton BVMS MRCVS is originally from the Morayshire area of the Scottish northeast, and after spending countless hours at weekends at his grandparent’s farms he decided the life of a vet was for him. After what seemed a very quick five years at Glasgow Vet School, Scott worked in the Borders and then Glasgow gaining experience in farm, small animal and equine practice. For the last twelve years Scott has worked locally in Edinburgh providing care for all manner of pets, and professes a secret love of guinea pigs, having owned several alongside his moderately behaved Lab called Brook.

Lorna Logan

Practice Owner

Lorna has worked in practices for 18 years. Born in Glasgow she gained experience working in kennels/catteries and vet practices, her first job was in practice in Ayr for 3 years before moving to Edinburgh. Lorna has worked in small animal practices in Edinburgh for 15 years before opening her own practice with Vets4Pets. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary care especially canine behaviour and geriatric care. She has previously worked for a short spell at the Dogs Trust doing behaviour work. Lorna is owned by a beautiful 18 year old rescue cat called Seran and 8 year old rescue dog called Rueben who she enjoys hill walking with. Lorna is looking forward to the challenges of owning the new practice with Scott with whom she has worked with for the last 12 years and is looking forward to meeting new clients and their furry friends!

Reception Manager

Scott works as receptionist manager here at Vets4Pets in Davidsons Mains and he particularly enjoys meeting both owners & their pets at the practice. Scott has over 18 years of both hands on and theory experience with a wide variety of animals of all different shapes and sizes. Having qualified previously in Animal Care & Management at Oatridge Agricultural College, he has worked as Senior Herpetologist (Reptile Keeper) at Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World, and as Zoo Keeper & Animal Trainer at Edinburgh Zoo. Scott also has his own pet sitting business; Animal A-Z. When not at work, Scott is kept very busy at home with his own private collection of over 25 pets, some of which include 6 cats, 2 parrots, degus, snakes, lizards & exotic/tropical invertebrates. He also enjoys the cinema & visiting Loch Lomond with his wife.

Veterinary Surgeon

Claire is the newest member of our team joining us in September 2014. She graduated from Edinburgh University in 2010 and has worked in small animal practice since. She started her career at the PDSA in Plymouth before migrating back to Edinburgh to join us at Davidsons Mains. She divides her spare time between the gym and the local coffee shops. She has a characterful rescue cat called Boris who enjoys entertains the neighbours in exchange for bacon and eggs.

Aimee joined the Vets4Pets team at Davidsons Mains in June 2013 having completed her Veterinary Nursing training at Edinburgh College.  She gained experience in small animal practice in Edinburgh and at the Glasgow University Small Animal Hospital.  Originally from Perthshire, Aimee has always had a lifelong love of animals. Growing up on a farm she was surrounded by dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and chickens.  She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a keen interest in feline nursing and behaviour.  During her spare time Aimee enjoys going to the cinema and reading crime novels.  Aimee is kept on her toes by her adorable but mischievous cat Poppy and also keeps tropical fish.

Diane joined Vets4Pets at Davidsons Mains as a receptionist, having previously worked in a veterinary environment and also having gained qualifications in Feline Psychology, Pet Sitting and Dog Walking  she is passionate about all animals and their welfare.  Diane has plenty of hands on experience at home too, looking after her own assortment of animals which includes her two Labrador dogs, various poultry ,cold water fish and Nugget the rabbit.

As well as meeting and getting to know owners and their treasured pets, Diane loves the great outdoors, art  and photography and often, you will spot her camera in hand roaming the Trossachs for that ideal snap.
