I qualified from Cambridge in 1989 and have spent 20 years in practice working in Wood Green Animal Shelters, Barry and Bridgend. I have many animals; dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, turkeys, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, chickens, ferrets, a hamster, pigeons, peacocks and 2 donkeys - all of which are pets because I’m a vegetarian! When I’m not in work I enjoy knitting, reading, sewing, gardening and Egyptology.

Before opening Llanelli Vets4Pets I worked alongside Liz at the Swansea surgery for 5 years after qualifying from Liverpool University in 2009. I have three dogs: A border terrier called Dylan, a Chihuahua cross called Bear and a lurcher called Forest. I also have eight cats four of which I have hand-reared and the others were all once injured strays. I'm assisted in looking after all these animals by my 9 year old daughter Erin and 4 year old twin daughters Nancy and Scarlett. In my free time (Ha!) I also enjoy geo-caching, baking, gardening, sewing (mostly making children's clothes) and crochet. I am also working towards a Post graduate Certificate in Small animal Internal Medicine.

I have been working with animals for over 15 years and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008. I also qualified as a clinical coach in 2013 which means I train future veterinary nurses. I have a strong interest in cat behaviour and have a Diploma in Feline Nursing. This has come in very useful with my three legged cat Gwen who I adopted from the surgery after she came in as a badly injured stray. In 2022 I also adopted Arthur another 3 legged cat who was hand reared at the surgery by one of our vets. Outside of work I enjoy learning about history and travelling , which I try to group together as often as possible.
