Reading Vets4Pets

I graduated from Berlin in 1994 then worked for 3 years in Germany as a farm vet, looking after cows, pigs, sheep and horses - as well as domestic pets - before moving to the UK to live. For the first 5 months here, I worked as a volunteer for both the PDSA and the RSPCA. I had to earn a living, so I worked again on farms, as well as looking after domestic pets in a Norfolk practice, before moving closer to London three years later. Since then I have specialised in treating small animals in London, Hertfordshire and more recently, in Bath. I joined Companion Care in 2011, impressed by what I had seen in surgeries as far apart as Harlow and Bristol. Since joining, I’ve been fortunate enough to work as a locum in several branches, mainly in the Home Counties. In every location, I’ve found dedicated professionals at every level, helping owners to do the best for their pets. When the Reading opportunity came up - I decided to go for it! I passionately believe in delivering the best possible veterinary care at affordable prices. Being a responsible owner is a big part of the joy of keeping a cherished pet. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with my family (which includes Tinkerbelle, my cat), travelling (with Tink, of course, where possible), photography and trying out Jamie Oliver recipes!

I qualified in Romania (Bucharest) in 2013, and moved to the UK in 2015. I moved to the Reading area in 2017 and joined the team here at Vets4pets Reading.

I really enjoy to travel to exotic locations, I also have a Siberian cat called "Mitzy", who is very much loved and spoilt.

In my spare time I love watching crime ID, CSI, real life crime and wanted to study forensics.

I am a passionate veterinary surgeon, having qualified in 2005. Originally I'm from Romania, but made the exciting change to move to the UK in 2018. I thoroughly enjoy my work, both in consulting with pet owners and performing surgeries.

I have a particular interest in Ultrasound. I'm a feline lover, and outside of work I  have a husband and two children, who I love to spend time with.

My biggest weakness is chocolate! I love to find time to relax by exploring new places and visiting historical buildings during my travels.

I’ve always loved animals, so at 17 I started work experience at my local veterinary surgery. I continued to study small animal care at Merrist Wood College, Guildford.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2004 whilst at Medivet. In 2005, I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse Assessor and progressed to become a trained clinical coach, examiner and lecturer in Veterinary Nursing.

I spent 5 years as a Head Nurse in Twickenham and 7 years as Senior Head Nurse at a 24-hour emergency veterinary hospital in Richmond.

In 2016, I spent a year in Malta. Returning to the UK, I was invited to join Companion Care Farnborough. In 2020, I became part of the team at Vets4Pets Feltham. In 2021, I joined the team here at Vets4Pets Reading as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and Practice Manager.

I have a keen interest in small animal dentistry, exotic animals, cytology (looking at cells), lab work and rabbits anaesthesia. I endeavour to deliver excellent client and patient care.

My fiancé and I took on a stray cat in 2010, who we love and fuss over a little too much (Molly’s a well travelled cat, having driven with us through France, Switzerland, Italy, Sicily and Malta).

Outside of work, my interests include socialising, eating out, music, gardening, walking, travelling, chocolate and celebrity spotting. 

I obtained my Veterinary nursing degree in 2011. I have a vast array of experience and expertise and even kept a diverse range of animals herself from sugar gliders, leopard geckos, rabbits, cats, and dogs. 

I have a keen interest in X-rays, dentistry, and exotics and always seeking to expand my knowledge and abilities. I always embrace new challenges and eagerly take on opportunities to enhance my skillset.

Beyond my profession I enjoy outdoor adventures, such as kayaking and love to connect with nature, finding peace on the water. I also love to play pool socially.

I joined the team here in Reading in 2015. I am just coming up to finishing the Veterinary nurse course, and soon to become qualified.

I enjoy all aspects of my work but have a particular interest in pharmacology, surgery but always look to expand my expertise in all areas.

Outside of work I have a husband and child, and two cocker spaniels called Jimmy and Hollie, all of which keep me very busy and happy. I love participating in outdoor activities, sports, and generally embracing the opportunity to stay active and connect with nature.

I am currently excited and also preparing for the arrival of another baby which is due very soon, so I will be leaving Reading again for a short time to go on maternity.

I worked at Pets at home for 4 years and decided that I wanted to progress my career to become a veterinary nurse. After being at the practice for 5 years I am now in the last stage of my veterinary nursing qualification. I enjoy interacting with our clients and our patients. I find it to be a very rewarding part of the job to have the trust from both owner and patient.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner and close family and friends. I also enjoy taking country walks and exploring new places with my partner.

After studying animal management for 3 years, I decided to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. I have started my veterinary nursing qualification and I am applying  my new knowledge to our patients care.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my 2 amazing cats Twinx and Tilly. I also love spending time with my friends and family.

I am currently a VCA (Veterinary Care Assistant), awaiting to go to college in 2024. I love my job and really love working with animals.

I am a mum to 2 children, I own 3 Bullies, which I love and care for as well as a Siberian cat who also thinks his a dog!

In my spare time I love walking outside, but especially along the beach.

Throughout my childhood I dreamt of being a vet as I had a great love of all animals. But when the time came, I became a teacher instead! This lasted about 10 years, but my desire to work with animals was too strong, so I left teaching. I spent some time being a mum before going to work at a local veterinary practice as receptionist, and then Deputy Reception Manager. I stayed there for about 5 years, and then applied to join Vets4Pets at Reading which at the time was a brand new practice and I have been here ever since.
Away from work, I have 3 cats and a dog. One of the cats, Simon, belongs to the surgery, and makes frequent visits just to check everyone is behaving themselves. All of my pets have been adopted from the practice for various reasons and range in age from 11 down to 5 years old.

I joined the reception team in April 2018 after many years working in Hotel reception. I enjoy meeting the animals and owners and working in a friendly team.

Out of work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, Baking and walking our beautiful 5 year old Staffy cross who came from Battersea Windsor.
