Fiona graduated from RVC in 2001 and has always worked in small animal practice. Fiona has previously worked as a locum and as a senior vet at an out-of-hours clinic, so she has lots of knowledge and experiences to share. In 2013 Fiona took the decision to open her own Vets for Pets with the passion of building a happy team who can help and support each other and also provide an excellent service to her patients and clients.

Fiona’s passion lies with medicine and soft tissue surgery, she loves seeing cases through from start to finish and particularly enjoys getting to know clients. Fiona is pro-active and is always looking to maintain a high standard in patient care by developing up to date techniques.

Fiona is a GDP advisor and has found supporting our new graduate vet very rewarding.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family (husband, two children, dog and a cat) and friends, walking in the Peak District and seeing new places.

Being a nurse is a rewarding job, not one day is the same and it always brings a new challenge, which she loves. She has a passion for all animals, but her favourites are dogs and horses.

Carla enjoys inpatient care and has done further studying into nutrition. She has started to carry out weight clinics in practice and finds it rewarding helping patients achieve their weight loss goals. Carla also hopes to learn more about rehabilitation, including physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.

In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog, Archie, going rock climbing and swimming. She has recently moved into her first home with her boyfriend, so this is taking up most of her spare time at the minute! Carla has just welcomed a new addition to her family a kitten called Polly.

Philip

Practice Manager

Read Philip bio

As for me! I started here at Worksop in June 2018 to take over the running of the day to day responsibilities of the practice. This has meant that Fiona has more time to be a vet which is her passion. My original background was in Graphic Design and Marketing, so this has been a big change for me, but I have always loved having pets of my own.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and two children. Whether this is going exploring in the Peak District or playing games at homes or sitting by the side of the swimming pool watching my children swim and compete, it is all important to me.

Vets4Pets Worksop is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
