Woodland Trust Pet Memory Scheme

Celebrating the lives of pets and helping to restore, protect and create woodland.

About the Pet Memory Scheme

Vets4Pets have been working in partnership with the Woodland Trust since 2020. In 2021, we launched our Pet Memory Scheme to recognise the lives of all the loved pets that our vet practices have had the pleasure of looking after each year, by making donations in their names to protect, restore and create woodland around the UK.

These donations are made in memory of your beloved friend, to immortalise their memory and let loved ones live on, whilst creating havens for wildlife, nature, and people for years to come. Our woods will be there for you when you need them – somewhere to remember.

Over 400 practices have partnered with the Woodland Trust Pet Memory Scheme and we have helped contribute to the preservation of over one million trees in over 800 hectares of woodland so far. By 2030 we are aiming to protect, restore and plant over 2000 acres of woodland.

There are many memorial options available for your pet. Ask your vet which options they offer and don’t be afraid to ask them for a memento, such as a lock of hair.
