Woodland Trust Pet Memory Scheme
Celebrating the lives of pets and helping to restore, protect and create woodland.
About the Pet Memory Scheme
Vets4Pets have been working in partnership with the Woodland Trust since 2020. In 2021, we launched our Pet Memory Scheme to recognise the lives of all the loved pets that our vet practices have had the pleasure of looking after each year, by making donations in their names to protect, restore and create woodland around the UK.
These donations are made in memory of your beloved friend, to immortalise their memory and let loved ones live on, whilst creating havens for wildlife, nature, and people for years to come. Our woods will be there for you when you need them – somewhere to remember.
Over 400 practices have partnered with the Woodland Trust Pet Memory Scheme and we have helped contribute to the preservation of over one million trees in over 800 hectares of woodland so far. By 2030 we are aiming to protect, restore and plant over 2000 acres of woodland.
About the Woodland Trust
The Woodland Trust is a registered charity, established in 1972. They create havens for wildlife by planting millions of trees every year, campaign for new laws to protect ancient woodland and restore damaged ancient woods so they can breathe again.
Registered charity numbers: 294344 and SCO38885.
Further Remembrance Options and Support
There are many memorial options available for your pet. Ask your vet which options they offer and don’t be afraid to ask them for a memento, such as a lock of hair. Saying goodbye to a much-loved pet can be very difficult, at Vets4Pets we’re here for you and your pet for every step of your journey together.
