Advanced services

We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.

Orthopaedics

Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.

Ophthalmology

Ophthalmology diagnoses and treats conditions of the eyes and their associated structures. Our veterinary ophthalmology service is available for a wide range of medical surgical conditions in small animals. 

We can treat the following conditions: Third eyelid gland prolapse, Entropion, Ectropion, Keratotomy, Corneal graft, Electrolysis for distichiasis, Medial canthoplasty, Laceration repair, Aqueocentesis, Conjunctivectomy and retinal screening for onset of sudden blindness to the list of conditions.

Sinead trained as a vet in Dublin, moving straight to small animal work in an independent practice in Southampton. In 2004, she found her ideal job in our busy practice in Charlton and decided to take on the challenge of owning the practice in 2006. For the past 20+ years she has been dedicated to providing outstanding care to pets in and around Charlton. She has a passion for surgery and is a certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery. Sinead performs advanced orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery and is happy to receive referrals for these procedures.

Sinead is a keen cyclist who will be out on her bike in all weathers. She has two energetic kids and a lazy cat called Zorro.

Fabio’s journey here at Vets4Pets Charlton has been rather unique, it all started back in 2012 with a 2-week work experience placement, during this time he was deciding whether a career in the veterinary industry was for him, needless to say it was, and he’s never left us since.

Fabio graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017, and since then has completed two certificates, the first in Feline Nursing in 2019, and the second in Emergency and Critical Care in 2021. He now attends university on a part time basis to further advance his clinical skill set.

In June 2021, Fabio became a partner in Vets4Pets Charlton, and his time is now divided between practice management and head nurse responsibilities.

At home Fabio has two cats, Tommy and Trubble. He reminds us on a frequent basis that Trubble most definitely causes lots of Trouble!

Samantha Field

Sam joined the practice in January 2008 as a part time receptionist, having previously studied a one year First Diploma in Animal Care and a further two years studying a Level 3 National Diploma in Animal Management. In the years that followed Sam very quickly went on to become a full time receptionist and also our Client Care Co-Ordinator.

In January 2018 Sam became the Practice Manager and in June 2021 became a partner in Vets4Pets Charlton. During this time she has also completed a Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management and is the practice Mental Health First Aider.

In her role her priorities include providing our clients with excellent customer service and value for money, as well as providing support for all the colleagues. Away from the practice she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and travelling to new countries. At home she has a very playful cat called Nessie.

Kerensa graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London, 2017. She has a keen interest in eyes, and is currently completing a certificate in small animal ophthalmology. 
 
In her spare time she likes to crochet and go for long walks. When she is not outdoors, then she is at home with her two rescue cats Mischa and Diesel.

In her spare time Prudie loves going to concerts, travelling and spending time with her family, including her dog Herbie and cat Popcorn!

Maebel graduated from Warsaw University of Life Science in 2022 as a Veterinary Surgeon and prior to this was a Registered Veterinary Nurse for over 10 years. 

Maebel is passionate about feline medicine, anaesthesia and analgesia. 

In Maebel's spare time she enjoys travelling, reading fiction novels and practicing yoga.

Conor graduated from Warsaw University of Life Sciences as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2023, and previously worked in Ireland as a mixed animal vet before joining our practice in May 2024.
In his spare time, Conor enjoys live music, art galleries, and running.

Steph graduated as a vet from Cambridge in 2013 and has been working in small animal practice since then. In 2019, she completed a Postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine, and further study in abdominal and cardiac ultrasound. She enjoys the challenge of complex medical cases.
 
Outside of work Steph is kept busy by her young family and her very spoilt cat called Tequila.

Nicole qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2021; to advance her knowledge Nicole continued her studies at the Royal Veterinary College and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in 2022.

She has always loved animals and volunteered at a Conservation and Research Centre for Giant Pandas in China. She has a keen interest in schedule 3 nursing procedures and is looking to complete a certificate in the future. During her spare time, she enjoys drawing and going out for walks.

Ellie graduated from Hartpury University in November 2021 with a FdSc Veterinary Nursing degree. 
 
She found her love of animals through horse riding which she started at a young age. In her spare time she enjoys taking long hacks in the woods and fields. 
 
Ellie has a keen interest in diagnostic imaging and is always the first to help out when taking radiographs. She hopes to be able to use her skills to teach student veterinary nurses in practice.

Katie's favourite aspect of her role is medical nursing, primarily looking after our inpatients and striving to improve patient welfare. Rosie has always loved animals and grew up in a house surrounded by both dogs and cats, so in 2018 decided to join us as a Veterinary Care Assistant. 
 
In 2020 Rosie was thrilled to start studying to become a Veterinary Nurse. Rosie continued to work on weekends at the practice supporting the whole team whilst attending university to complete her degree in nursing.
 
Rosie graduated in summer 2023 with a BSc (hons), and we're delighted that Rosie is now with us on a full time basis as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Viktorija graduated with a Foundation Veterinary Nursing degree in 2023 from the Royal Veterinary College. She achieved her BSc (Hons) degree in 2024 and has a passion for Emergency and Critical Care. Viktorija has completed placements in both referral hospitals and charity practices, bringing her an insight into different aspects of veterinary care.
 
At home, Viktorija has a little old potato (pug) called Mika and a little floof (Domestic Longhair) called Pola.
