Qualifying in 1997 from Liverpool University, I spent my first years in mixed practice in Cumbria and Derbyshire, before concentrating solely on small animal work, and have been practising in the Colne area since 2008. I have a great interest in internal medicine, and extended my knowledge in the completion of a General Practitioners Certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2009. I have a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and dermatology. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with the hubbie and 2 daughters on the sheep farm with our 5 Border Collies, and intermittently annoying them all by playing the ukulele.

Hi, I'm Laoise (lee-sha for anyone struggling 😂). I graduated from the RCV in London in July 2020 and joined the Vets for Pets Colne team in August 2020. I have an interest in soft tissue surgery, opthalmology and neurology and hope to work towards further qualifications in these areas in the future.

I grew up in Cumbria with dogs but now have a rescue kitten called Matilda (who refuses to pose with me). I spend a lot of my spare time knitting with varying levels of success.
I'm very grateful I've found such a good practice with such an amazing and supportive team!

Before working at Vets for Pets Colne I have worked in various small animal practices in the South over 37 years.

My interests are in canine behaviour, client care and education of future veterinary professionals.

I have two black cats called Elfie and Goose, both were rescued and a black Staffie called Kray. I recently relocated to the area and love walking and swimming in the Dales, between training our dog and renovating our new house.
It has been our dream for many years to move North and the team at Vets4Pets have made my professional transition so easy, I'm so pleased to have found such a lovely practice.

I have over 10 years of veterinary nurse experience, qualifying from Myerscough College in 2004. I am most enthusiastic about the surgical side of nursing but also enjoy giving excellent nursing care to patients who have to stay with us for a short while. I also have a very keen interest in behavior and love running puppy parties.

I live with my fiance and when not at work, I look after our young daughter and am currently renovating our house. I have a rescue cat called Matilda, which I hand-reared from a few weeks old, two Dutch rabbits called Mario and Pip, a tropical fish tank and an aviary with cockatiels and quail. I currently don't have a dog but am looking for a rescue one to fill the gap...

Hi there - my name is Alysha! I’m an RVN who qualified in 2021 after graduating from UCLAN. My furry family includes our Spanish rescue dog, Bumper, two cats, Coco and Dolly, and three horses, Alfie, Lenny, & Nell.

After nearly 3 years of being qualified, I’ve found my passion lies within ECC nursing, post-operative care (physiotherapy), and radiography.

For those aspiring RVNs out there, my advice would be to always keep in mind the reason for choosing this career: to care for and provide guidance to pets and owners who need us. The rewards and satisfaction from becoming an RVN are endless.

Hi, I'm Lucy. I have a passion for animals and have a level 1 & 2 in equine studies from Manchester College, as well as a level 3 in children's and adult social care. I am hoping to become further qualified in the veterinary field. I have a keen interest in veterinary medicine and behaviour.

Before joining Vets4Pets, I supported young people and adults with autism and mental health difficulties, and young people in care.

At home, I have a pet dog and cat, 3 working dogs, some dogs in training and some sheep! When I'm not busy looking after my animals, I enjoy sheepdog training, seeing friends, traveling and collecting books - with the intention of reading them all one day.
