How did it go?

On Sunday the 6th of August Vets4Pets Sutton in Ashfield held their fourth Annual open day and fun dog show in aid of local charity ‘Angels Small Paws Dog Rescue’.

They raised just over £550 for the charity and here’s what the co-ordinator of ‘Angels’ Chrissy Marshall had to say “Thank you, you all done Amazing!!!!!”.

Many local traders took part in making the day a success. We had ‘Lizzy’s Kitchen’ selling dog friendly treats and cakes, ‘Mansfield Wildlife Rescue’ , fresh homemade cakes and Jams, Sand Art, ‘Nursery Frames’ with Personalised Frames for all occasions, Shell Art, Angels dog rescue had their own stall along with a raffle with fantastic prizes and many more.

The kids seemed to enjoy themselves on the bouncy castle whilst also fitting in an ice cream or two. Jody was even on hand with ‘Fancy faces face painting’ to ensure everyone had sparkly, colourful faces!

The fun dog show was a great success, we saw many of our clients and their pets taking part alongside new faces and many taking home rosettes.

At the end of the open day we held a large raffle with over 80 fantastic prizes ranging from family days out, pet items and toys to chocolates and everything in between. Not many people came away empty handed!

This day would not have been possible without the hard work from the Joint venture partners Stephanie Smith and Claire Matan and Head Veterinary Nurse Danielle Welch who arranged the event.

A special thank you goes out to all the generous businesses that provided raffle donations, to all the stalls that helped to provide the entertainment for the day and of course everyone that attended the open day to help support Angels Small Paws Rescue.

Vets4Pets Sutton in Ashfield would like to say “A massive thank you to everyone who made it and took part in the event this year and made it so successful. Each and every one of you have made a difference to Angels Small Paws Dog Rescue and we will continue to put this event on annually and hopefully grow bigger and bigger each year!”
