Vets4Pets Bristol Emersons Green & LAPS 2016

We need your help!

This December, our Practice Owner and leading vet Carla and Practice Manager Ollie are travelling to Zambia, Africa to volunteer with Livingstone Animal Protection Service (LAPS).

Who are LAPS?

LAPS was set up in 2014 to improve the health and welfare of domestic animals in the Livinstone area. They provide veterinary services to those who are unable to access them. With the help of LAPS, dogs who wouldn't normally have a chance to see a vet or be vaccinated are given care.

Throughout Africa, dogs can often be found wth untreated wounds, poor nutrition and other ailments. We are able to talk to the community about responsible pet ownership and learn how dog's can become their best friends! In addition, LAPS also help rescue and re-home stray dogs to welcoming families.

What are we doing to help?

Our aim is to support LAPS' vaccination outreach programme, as well as supporting local vets with their neutering campaign.

What can you do to help?

We are collecting any unwanted dog leads or collars to take with us. Often dogs are tied up with chains or electric wires which can cause severe wounds.

We are selling raffle tickets at the practice with the chance to win lots of prizes!

You can help by donating to our Just Giving page.

Make sure you follow us on Facebook to stay up to date with our progress!
