I was born and brought up in Glasgow and attended Glasgow University Veterinary School. I graduated in 2004 so I have over a decade of experience in small animal practice. After graduation I spent a year as an intern in a referral practice in Essex before moving into first opinion practice in London. I spent the majority of my time in London working for a hospital-based practice where my duties included looking after the Metropolitan police dogs of south London. After leaving London I worked for 2 years in Aberdeen running a branch practice for a large veterinary group. After leaving Aberdeen I spent a year working and traveling in Australia and New Zealand before returning home to open the Glasgow Forge practice. We have now been open for two years and the surgery is just continuing to grow and expand which has been great to oversee. I live in Glasgow with my wife Sarah (we recently got married in Iceland September 2016). Also at home is my geriatric 3-legged rescue cat called Cheeky who features in the practice photos. We also have some new additions to the family…a ginger rescue cat called Grettir (Icelandic name for the famous Garfield), Sylvester and Larry. I enjoy the variety of small animal first opinion practice but I particularly enjoy discussing preventative health care with owners and dealing with skin cases. I am currently studying a master’s degree in ‘Advanced Clinical Practice’ part-time at the University of Edinburgh.

I grew up local to Glasgow and graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2012. My first year out I worked in Ireland with racehorses before returning closer to home to work at a mixed practice in Falkirk for several years. I became a purely small animal vet in 2015 and started work at the Forge in 2018. I enjoy all aspects of first opinion work but particularly like performing surgical procedures and also teaching students who come to do placements here.

I have a large collection of pets at home which includes two ponies, two dogs, a cat and a herd of guinea pigs. I am forever taking in waifs and strays which end up never leaving!

Outside of work I am kept busy with my three young children and all the pets but also enjoy running and hill walking whenever I can.

Hello,

I'm Amelia, one of the Vets at Vets4Pets Glasgow Forge.

I moved up to Glasgow from North Wales for Vet School and haven't left since! I graduated in 2023 and have loved getting to know lots of our clients here in the past few months.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and visiting family nearby - I haven't got a fury friend of my own yet, but that's a matter of time!

Hi,

I graduated from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where I also completed a Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine and Therapeutics Research. Soon after, I moved to the UK to work as a first opinion vet in London for 2 years before embarking on a Rotating Internship at a referral centre. Following my experience as an Emergency/ night vet in a busy referral hospital back in Spain, I returned to the UK to undertake a specific internship in internal medicine, which I completed this year.

I love all aspects of veterinary medicine, but I particular interest enjoy feline and canine medicine, as well as preventive medicine

In my spare time, I enjoy going out with friends, practicing free diving, and spending quality time with my rescue dog, Niwa.

I grew up in Martinique (France) and studied in VetAgro Sup Lyon school of veterinary medicine, where I cultivated skills in both small animal and equine medicine. I graduated in 2020, then worked for a year in small animal practice before I completed a Rotating Internship in Equine medicine in Lyon in 2022.

After working a few months in equine field service in Angers, I got an opportunity to move to Glasgow by joining Vets4Pets. As I love adventures and discovering new perspectives, I was glad to take it!

I enjoy first opinion practice and building a family doctor-like relationship with my clients and their pets.

Outside of work, I spend my time drawing and painting, hill walking, and I recently discovered rock climbing.  I am also a lifelong horse rider and dog owner.

Hi! I’m Nicole one of the nurses here at Vets4pets. I started my veterinary nursing course back in 2018, I have been working within the practice since 2019 where I had started as a student on placement to complete my final year. Following the conclusion of my final student year I was lucky enough to be offered a job. I love my job, being able to care for animals is something that really interests me plus my colleagues & team are amazing to work with.

At home I have two family Staffies called Lucy and Belle. We have recently just taken on a rescue dog who needed a lot of attention and training but is now fitting in great with the other dogs! Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, The thing I love the most is that every day is different. I am looking forward to continuing my career here as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Hello. My name is Emily, I have been with Vets for Pets since 2019 and began as a receptionist. The more I worked more with this exceptional team, the more I wanted to do and learn more about veterinary care. In 2023 I asked Struan to put me through college to become a registered veterinary nurse and thankfully he said yes. That is where I am now, studying towards my diploma with CAW and I love it.

I have 2 cats, Lola and Ivy and one day I would love to adopt a dog into the family.

In my spare time I play the violin and piano. I also like to relax by playing video games, especially Zelda. "
I adore animals of all shapes and sizes.  I have two cats, Lola (13yrs) who is a grumpy old lady and Ivy (9months) who lives up to her name - she can't stop climbing on things. The are my world and they are very spoiled!

In my spare time I like to read, play video games and watch horror movies/TV shows.

Hi there! I'm one of the Client Care Advisors here - or as your pets might know me, the lady at the desk with biscuits.

I'm a lover of all animals, great and small. Growing up I had a whole host of pets and animal companions: cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, turtles, goats, and even sheep for a while! Now I'm cat-mum to the most adorable black cat, called Aella, and we'll add another wee kitten to our family in the autumn.

I look forward to seeing you and your wee one - and giving your wee one a biscuit (or two). "
