Julie Farquharson BVMS MRCVS

Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

I have worked in various practices in Yorkshire and am very pleased to have joined the Vets4Pets team. I am interested in all areas of small animal veterinary medicine and I am particularly keen to expand my experience in exotics. I have returned to practice after having my two little boys, Lochlann and Laythan who keep life very busy at home! In addition our family includes Barney - our cavalier King Charles spaniel, Ollie the ginger cat, Ruby, Rosie and Mavis the hens and Benjamin the cockerel.

Owner and Nursing Director

After many years of seeing practice I started my career in the year 2000. I enjoy many aspects of the profession, particularly anaesthesia and clinical coaching but especially caring for all of our patients. I’m very honoured to be a partner in a practice with such a wonderful, caring and experienced team. Out of practice, I love nothing more than spending time with my husband and our daughter, as well as our cat Ludo and dogs Rupert, Rusty & Tara.

I have worked here at Vets4Pets Anlaby since we opened back in 2013 and I am passionate about the care of all our patients from as soon as they arrive to when they go home.

I am proud to say I passed my Veterinary Nursing course and am now a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I keep busy at home with my husband, son and whippet Freddie. We love travelling and attending the odd airshow!

I have spent most of my life around all kinds of animals and have studied a degree in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation. It is plain to see the care and compassion towards all the animals here from everyone at Vets4Pets Anlaby.

When I'm not spending my days meeting to and speaking with all our lovely clients and wonderful pets, I spend my time walking my Beagle Penny as well as riding my horse Donna.
