Barry Palmer Vet Vets4Pets Lisburn

Barry Palmer, MRCVS

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

Barry qualified from University College, Dublin in 2003 and has worked in mixed practice, both north and south of the border until finally opening up his own clinic, along with wife Christina, here in 2012. He has a passion for all aspects of small animal practice with a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery. At home, he enjoys looking after his three recue goats and is allowed to share his home with 5 cats and a dog. He is also a keen reader and enjoys cycling.

Christina Palmer, RVN

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Nurse

Christina is a qualified Vet Nurse who trained at the University College Dublin. She has over 15 years experience in nursing and has worked in both small animal and mixed practice before opening up the Lisburn surgery with husband Barry in 2012. She loves all aspects of her job but has a particular interest in behaviour, welfare and rehoming.She has fostered and rehomed many animals in the past and says there is no greater feeling. Outside of work, she is kept busy with her own pets, which includes 5 cats, 3 goats and of course, Brian the dog!

Joleen Little

Veterinary Surgeon

Joleen graduated from Liverpool University in 2002 and began her career in a mixed practice in Cookstown. She met her husband Mark, a fellow vet, and after a year of working together with cows and horses they travelled to Australia. It was here that she discovered her love of small animal practice. After a year she returned home and began to work in a busy clinic in Belfast. She joined Vets4Pets 18 months ago and has enjoyed getting to know all the wonderful clients and their pets. Joleen enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a keen interest in Cardiology and Soft tissue Surgery. Her other interests include travelling, Rugby, walking her Labradors and spending time with her young family.

Nicole Cullen

Veterinary Nurse

In 2007 she graduated from University College, Dublin with a BSc in Zoology, following this she went on and achieved a MSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Queens University Belfast. She has extensive experience working with animals and has volunteered in rescue centres across the country. She has recently passed all her exams to become a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She enjoys socialising and going to the gym and has a cat called Robert.

Vet Receptionist

Liz has been a receptionist with Vets4Pets Lisburn since opeining in 2012. She joined the surgery as she has a real love for animals and wants to make a difference in their and their owner’s lives. At home she has a wonderful little boy Corey and two step children Adam and Holly. Outside work, she loves walking and socialising and spending time with her family.

Nicola Scott

Vet Receptionist

Nicola joined Vets4Pets in the Lisburn store in 2012 after working as a receptionist for a charitable organisation. Nicola loves all animals especially dogs – the bigger the better! She has 3 black Labrador retrievers called Sonny, Indie and Bowe, two of whom she rescued from the practice. Outside of work Nicola enjoys watching her two sons play sport – David at Rugby and Jonny at Football.

Vet Receptionist

Stephanie studied Business and Finance at UUJ and her previous jobs have been varied to say the least, including working in a car dealership and a bridal shop. Having spent the last 16 years being an at home Mummy, she thought it was time to get back to work! Along with 4 kids, her family has gradually expanded and currently includes 5 dogs, 5 guinea pigs, 2 cats and a hamster. She is really enjoying her job at reception......loads of puppy cuddles and she is meeting some really lovely animal owners.
