Laser Therapy

Fast, non-invasive complementary treatment for your pet

What to expect

Laser therapy is a non-invasive method of healing and pain relief. The therapy is simple, quick and easy for both you and your pet.

What happens?

Laser therapy is a non-invasive therapy for managing pain relief.

Laser therapy uses low light level energy. The laser will be placed over the affected site and the beam will interact with cells and photons.

The laser helps accelerate tissue regeneration by increasing circulation and drawing water, oxygen and nutrients to the treatment area. This creates an optimal healing environment.

Treatment plans

For most conditions, we recommend a multi-visit treatment plan. Treatments vary in length, but most sites require 2 - 8 minutes each. A majority of patients exhibit greater comfort and mobility within 12 - 24 hours after a laser treatment.

Your veterinary surgeon will recommend a treatment plan specific to your pet's needs.

Is it painful?

No, the animal does not experience any discomfort during treatment beyond a slight warming sensation at the treatment site.

Due to the lack of discomfort, your pet will not require any sedation or restraint like other therapies.
