Meet the Middlesbrough vet team

Katherine, BVMS BSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Owner

After studying zoology in Edinburgh, I went to Glasgow and qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2004. After working in Ayrshire and Yorkshire, I later settled in the North East and have been here for ten years.

I am an active member of the Cleveland concert band and play the Clarinet. I enjoy keeping fit by training for triathlons. I have a busy home life looking after Super Jeff the rabbit, Jimmy ginger cat and Tia my beautiful elderly spaniel. I am currently working at a certificate in small animal surgery so my knowledge is expanded for the future.

I have lived in Portugal my whole life in a little place called Guimaes, where I studied at the universidade De Lisboa Faculdade De Medicina Veterinaria qualifying in 2016. It wasn’t until February 2017 I decided to move to England to expand my knowledge and skills in a small animal practice.

My main interests is in feline medicine. In my spare time I love reading horror books, but if I was to choose an author I love JK Rowling and her Harry Potter novels.
