Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, my name is Effy and I work as a Veterinary Surgeon here at Newcastle Vets4Pets. Originally from Greece I qualified in 2014 and worked in a variety of small animal practices before coming to the UK in April 2018.

Since coming to the UK I have not been able to have any pets of my own but would love to do so in the future when circumstances allow.

I really enjoy working at Newcastle Vets4Pets with my lovely team and always try to give the best of myself in the care and treatment of the little “furies”.

I have worked in both primary care and referral practice including work in rehabilitation. I am a qualified Clinical Coach and am working towards my Level 3 certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy.

I have an 11 year old Springer X Labrador called Phoebe, a 1 year old Golden Retriever called Cassie and a fluffy black cat called Lexi.

I enjoy working with a committed team of lovely people and love being back working in primary care following my time in referral practice.

I began work as a veterinary receptionist in 2009 before deciding I wanted to be a veterinary nurse. I trained at Myerscough College (Preston) qualifying in 2015 before coming to work here at Newcastle Vets4Pets in May 2018. I enjoy working at Vets4Pets as I get to do my dream job with the support of a great team.

Hi, my name is Abi and growing up I always had cats, dogs and horses: today I have a German Short Haired Pointer called Alfie - my “lovely old man”!

I commenced training to be a veterinary nurse in 2016 qualifying in 2018. I came to work at Newcastle Vets4Pets earlier this year and really like meeting and chatting to the clients, finding out more about them and their pets – they are so friendly and nice. I work with a great team and enjoy dealing with anaesthesia and the wide variety of operations that we get to do.

Hi, my name is Holly and I have a miniature Schnauzer named Tilly (who is a real softy!) and a Tabby cat called Tiger.

I have worked on reception at Newcastle Vets4Pets since January 2017. I love working with animals and am currently training to be a dog groomer. I have already achieved my Level 2 Dog Grooming and am now studying for level 3 to be fully qualified in July 2019.

I love working with the team here at Newcastle Vets4Pets and our regular clients definitely cheer us up on the front desk when they bring their cutie pets to the practice. Getting lots of cuddles and kisses from the dogs makes a great day at work!

Client Care Advisor

Hi, my name is Ashleigh and this is my first time working in animal care having previously worked as a care worker in the health and social care industry and as a Receptionist in a community project.

I currently have a Yorkshire Terrier called Archie (aka Chewbacca!) but have grown up around a variety of animals and different pets including my cousins’ selection of snakes and spiders.

Newcastle Vets4Pets is an awesome place to work and the team is lovely. As the newbie everyone has made me feel very welcome, especially the girls on the reception desk.

Lorna Mitchell

Client Care Advisor

Hi, my name is Lorna and I own a very snorty Boston Terrier called Burt.

I have worked on Reception here at the practice since April 2017. Prior to this I was self-employed in the fitness industry for over 10 years in a variety of roles and a qualified personal and group exercise trainer.

I love the variety in my job as every day is different and there is always something new to learn. The best part of each day is meeting the animals that we care for, big and small.
