My name is Ana Perez, I graduated as a veterinary surgeon from Spain in 2008 and I decided to stay at University two further years doing a Companion Animal postgraduate which gave me a stronger knowledge on my chosen career path.

I then moved to the UK where I embarked on a one year internship to get the grips of Veterinary Medicine in the UK which allow me to adapt to the country variations. I performed this internship right here in Swindon at the former Great Western Referrals Hospital.

After this I moved to the South Coast of England where I spent seven years enjoying my job as a first opinion vet with a wide variety of interests. (All about felines, internal medicine, imaging, dentistry...)

I decided to come back to Swindon after all those years to reunite with some very missed friends and I am planning to stay for a while!

On my spare time I love to travel, read, meet up with friends and I am a keen salsa dancer. I love to go for walks with my rescue cat Luna who is still a bit wild and untamed.

I began training as a nurse in 1987 and qualified in 1990. I joined Vets4Pets in May 2013 at the Stratton surgery and in December 2015 became a partner in the Vets4Pets Bridgemead clinic.

Cats are my passion and in March 2016 I gained my diploma in feline nursing from the International Society of Feline Medicine.

I enjoy consulting and love sharing my knowledge with other cat owners, hopefully helping them to have long happy, healthy lives with their much-loved cats. I am proud to be a crazy cat lady and currently share my home with 1 rescue cat. Away from work I enjoy gardening, cooking and crafting, and attending vintage rallies with my friend and her family's vintage fire engines.

I recently joined the Bridgemead team in 2021 after my love of animals was further sparked by working in a local dog groomer. I’ve always been a dog-lover at heart, even when this means being slobbered on by a soppy St. Bernard.

Despite having experience with canines and rabbits I’ve been excited to learn more about felines.

At home I go dizzy watching my crazy Cocker Spaniel Dexter run circles around the coffee table for hours-on-end.

I also have a Netherland Dwarf called Levi and a ball python called Lemon.

Veterinary nursing was always my dream job, so after a few detours and a lot of determination, I finally started my nursing career as an Animal Nursing Assistant in 2013.

I gradually worked my way up, becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017. Once qualified, I spent a year working in various veterinary clinics in Sydney, Australia and managed to travel around most of Australia and New Zealand before heading back to the UK.

I am now enjoying life down south and joined the Vets4Pets Swindon Bridgemead team in September 2021. Outside of work, I've always been quite an active person. I learnt to ski when I was 3 years old and I also enjoy surfing, paddle boarding and cycling.

I joined the Bridgemead team in 2015 as Head Receptionist.

I have always had a passion for working with animals. I studied Animal Care & Management at Wiltshire College Lackham and after graduating I had the privilege to work in South Africa with many different animals including Cheetahs and Leopards.

I had a gorgeous sable & white shetland sheepdog called Jasper for 16 years & now have Riley a blue merle shetland sheepdog, who loves going to agility training, along with a leopard gecko called Gordon.

I enjoy seeing all the different pets that visit us here and the Puppy and Kitten cuddles are a great perk to the job!

Vets4Pets Swindon Bridgemead is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!

The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
