I graduated in 2006 from Bristol University and I also have a degree in Zoology. I have wanted to be a vet since a young age, having been inspired by my Grandmother who worked for many years for the Cats Protection League. She would often have orphan kittens and strays to look after and it was her dedication to these animals that gave me the desire and motivation to embark upon a career in the veterinary profession. This love of animals was further reinforced when I spent my summer holidays from school working on a friend’s dairy farm.

I have always worked in small animal practice since qualifying and enjoy all aspects of veterinary work but particularly enjoy small animal medicine. In 2009 I completed a European School of Postgraduate Veterinary Studies Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.

Opening my own practice has always been an ambition of mine as it gives me an opportunity to offer high quality veterinary care to the animal patients and a personal level of service to their owners. I have dreamt about being part of a veterinary practice that is a real help and benefit to the animals in the local community and I hope that this is what will be achieved by Vets4Pets Portsmouth. I live at home with my Wife and two young children, and a cheeky Bengal cat called Freddie. I enjoy going to football matches and photography.

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2021 and joined the team in June 2022. When I was a university student, I completed many of my clinical placements at this very practice! I love all aspects of being a veterinarian- whether it be daily interactions with our lovely clients and pets or working up complex medical cases.

In my spare time, you’ll find me doting on my senior dog Bailey, who is full of beans (as pictured above)! Outside of work, I enjoy paddleboarding and exploring local food hotspots.

My name is Louise and I’m Head Nurse at Portsmouth Vets4Pets.

I qualified in May 2012 but I have been in practice full time since 2007. I have always been passionate about working with animals and knew at a young age this would be my career path. The job is both fascinating and exciting and every day is different.  Aside from Nursing, I also train Student Veterinary Nurses and am a Clinical Coach. I enjoy doing this as it’s very rewarding and gives me the opportunity to pass on my experience.

I have owned pets most of my life, and this includes my current cat Orion who is a very temperamental young man!  As a pet owner I understand the bond between pet and owner and as a veterinary nurse I appreciate how much our animals mean to us all.

I have a particular interest in birds and wildlife. In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my friends and family.

I qualified at Middlesex University in 2016 and joined the team at Portsmouth Vets4Pets in 2017.  I most enjoy looking after hospital in-patients, helping them to feel as relaxed as possible to aide their recovery.

I'm a self-confessed crazy cat lady with a particular affection for ginger toms.  My cat Sybil is full of mischief and likes to keep me on my toes.

My name is Macauly and I have been a Student Veterinary Nurse for Vets4Pets Portsmouth since January 2020.  I was delighted to be appointed as a BVNA Student council member in 2021.

One of my favourite parts of the job is dealing with wildlife that comes in to our practice, I also have a keen interest in exotic animal nursing. During my time at university I spent 3 months following Orangutans in Borneo and recording what they got up to daily as part of my research into laughter and friendship in primates!

I began working for Vets4pets in 2021 and have been so overwhelmed by the warm welcome from all the clients and pets.

I love the busy atmosphere and the opportunity to help pets and support their owners.

I come from a background in performing and qualified as a dance teacher in 2017 and I teach alongside my role here.

I have always had a keen interest in animals and this was only heightened when I adopted my cat Beau. With his placid temperament and fitting in with such ease, he encouraged me to get another and I ended up with a crazy, loud, but incredibly loving King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Nelly, they couldn't be more opposite.

They have taught me that all animals have such unique personalities and how I am a complete soft touch.

I joined the team at Portsmouth Vets4pets in December 2020 but have been working for the company since June 2019.
I'd already heard such great things about the practice before so when I moved to the area I was very excited to be given the opportunity to become part of the wonderful team here.
I have two dogs Henry and Fifi who I love to take for long walks and snuggle up on the sofa with after a long day.

I joined the reception team at the end of May 2021 following a complete change of career in retail optometry over the past 10 years.
I have worked throughout the Covid pandemic and wanted to make a change in my working life, I needed a new challenge doing something that I have a passion for.
I had been looking for the perfect job for a while and this role came at just the right time.
The practice offers me different experiences daily with lots to keep learning all the time.

I have found my feet quickly with my previous clinical background and love for all animals been a great help.
I am a dog owner myself and enjoy taking my 5 and 10 year old staffies on lots of adventures with my husband, exploring Cornwall is our favourite thing to do!

Greeting your pets and been able to get to know them all is the best, I am really passionate about providing them with a safe and welcoming environment and been here to help our clients with their precious furry friends.
