Vets4Pets Aberdeen

Meet the team

Aberdeen JVP's.png

Drs John & Sheila Smith BVMS MRCVS

Owners & Veterinary Surgeons

We both graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2010 and started out working in veterinary hospitals in England before returning home to work in and around Aberdeen for the past 7 years.

We are proud owners of Vets4Pets Aberdeen & Bridge of Don and aim to provide our patients with the best possible care.

Between us we have a variety of interests. John is adept in the treatment and handling of feathery and scaly creatures along with his keen interest in surgery. Sheila enjoys all aspects of general practice especially getting to know the clients and their furry friends.

Outside of work we can be found gardening, baking and doing DIY whilst entertaining our 2 young children (Isabelle & Oliver) Molly the cat, Daisy the dog and our small flock of free range chickens.

Brian Simpson

Practice Manager

I'm Brian, I joined the Vets4Pets Aberdeen team in March 2016. I have been around animals all of my life and currently have a big fluffy Ragdoll called Roux and a black Domestic Shorthair called Penny.

I started here as a veterinary care assistant/receptionist and I am now the practice manager for both the Beach and the Bridge of Don practices.

I love working for Vets4Pets as we have a great team and great facilities allowing us to offer the highest level of care to all our patients. We are also rated as a gold standard, cat friendly practice by the ISFM.

Adina Brinzoi

Veterinary Surgeon

Adina joined the practice in November 2017. She graduated from Romania in 2016 and decided to start a new graduate life in Scotland with Vets4Pets. She loves small animal work and has a passion for horses, so she decided to follow a PhD programme in equine.

Outside work, she is crazy in love with her furry babies, a Bengal cat aged 6 and a three-legged German Shepherd aged 13. She enjoys travelling a lot, San Francisco and Mexico being her favourites so far. Adina adores cooking for friends and family and also enjoys Italian wines. Her dream is to have her own little farm one day.

Senior Veterinary Nurse

I have been working for Vets4Pets for over a year now and I enjoy nurse clinics and running the puppy classes. I take a keen interest in furry exotics and I am doing my exotic nursing certificate. This will allow me to do exotic health checks and give out the most up to date husbandry advice.

Emma Campbell

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I qualified and became a registered veterinary nurse at the end on 2015 and joined the team August 2016. I love all aspects of my job, especially the interaction with pets and their owners.

I originally went to art school when I left school where I studied illustration and printmaking and still paint pet portraits in oil on canvas. Pictured with me is my ever faithful border collie, Bailey who loves to follow me everywhere.

Sally Rose

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hello, I'm Sally and I qualified in 2003 and have worked at a variety of practices - mixed and small animal in Moray and Aberdeen as well as working for Vetfone, a 24 hour pet advisory service. Recently I was working as a locum veterinary nurse before joining Vets4pets in January 2018.

I am really interested in reptiles, birds and wildlife and gained my City&Guilds Certificate of Exotic Species in June 2016. I love the variety of nursing that general practice brings and take pride to see that the clients' pets get the best care before, during and after surgery. I also enjoy clinical coaching where I can pass on my skills and experiences to student veterinary nurses.

I have two dogs - Brodie (pictured) and Basil, a standard wire haired dachshund and Squeaks the cat. When not at Vets4pets I volunteer at a local charity shop. I have many hobbies but love hill walking, baking and doing crosswords.

I have bonded with a lot of clients and their pets and absolutely love my job! In my spare time, I like going to the cinema with my boyfriend. I am also studying animal care in the evenings, through SRUC.
