Dr. Aimée King BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2012. Since graduating I have worked in a small animal practice in Winchester. I then opened Alton Vets4Pets in February 2016. I like all aspects of being a vet but really enjoy soft tissue surgery.

I have a Flat Coated Retriever called Dexter, two cats called Oliver and Blossom and two rabbits called Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time walking the Dexter, baking and spending time with my family.

After leaving school, I completed my national diploma in animal management, at Sparsholt College.

Since then I have been in practice for nine years. In 2013, I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse.

I have a Plummer Terrier called Riley, who I rescued in 2010 and a Miniature Dachshund called Minnie.

In my spare time, I enjoy walking Riley, baking and going to the cinema.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I graduated as a veterinary nurse in the summer of 2016 after spending three years between University and placement in Petersfield.

During and after my training I also worked with a referral Ophthalmologist. I am soon hoping to enrol for the Post Graduate Diploma in Surgical Nursing.

I have a beautiful 15 year old Border Collie named ‘Hobie’ who you may see around the practice. We also share the house with Noah the rabbit, two rats (Gilly and Pumpkin) and two budgies (Calypso and Skylar). I ride in my spare time as I share a Welsh Section D cob ‘Harvey’ with a friend.

As you can see I have my hands full with animals both at home and at work!

Veterinary Care Assistant

Since a young age I have always been interested in animals and have family pets consisting of 4 cats; Salem, Daisy, Oliver and Rodney.

After completing school I completed a Level 2 and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College. During my time at Sparsholt I also had a apart time job as a stable hand for 3 years which I gained a lot of knowledge from.

I have always had a massive interest in horses and ride in my spare time. I always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and it’s a great opportunity to work in a new surgery.

I joined the team in October 2016 and I really love working here as a receptionist. I really enjoy getting to know all our clients and their beautiful pets. Before joining Vets4Pets I spent many years as a carer.

I have three lovely sons and 3 beautiful grandsons. I have been married nearly 30 years and live locally to the practice. I have an 11 year old Bichon Frise called Willow.

I’ve worked in various customer service positions over the last 12 years, most recently in a prison library!

As a mum of one, I work part time to fit in with my family. I’m really excited about working here and the people and animals I will meet.

I’ve always had pets around and have a 10 year old cat and new puppy at home.
