Meet the Alton Vet Team

Alton V4P Aimée King.jpg

Dr. Aimée King BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2012. Since graduating I have worked in a small animal practice in Winchester. I then opened Alton Vets4Pets in February 2016. I like all aspects of being a vet but really enjoy soft tissue surgery.

I have a Flat Coated Retriever called Dexter, three cats called Oliver, Blossom and Smudge and two rabbits called Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time walking Dexter and spending time with my family.

Kayleigh Vass RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have always had an avid interest in animals, so after leaving school I completed my national diploma in Animal Management, at Sparsholt College. I have been in practice ever since and I completed my Veterinary Nurse training in 2013. Along the way, I rescued a Plummer Terrier called Riley in 2010 and my Miniature Dachshund called Minnie came into my life in 2016.

In my spare time I enjoy taking the dogs on long walks, especially to the beach and spending time with friends and family.

Sophia Kelly

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I graduated as a veterinary nurse in the summer of 2016 after spending three years between University and placement in Petersfield. During and after my training I also worked with a referral Ophthalmologist.

My interests in practice include anaesthesia and critical care nursing and I also run the monthly puppies parties here at the practice.

I have 2 rescue Border Collies, Dillon and Juno, who are full of energy and require hours of walking each day! We also share the house with our rabbit, Noah, and 2 budgies. I spend my spare time out with the dogs or riding my 2 horses, Harvey and Tia, which I share with a friend.

Pictured is my dear old Border Collie Hobie who we lost at 16 1/2 in 2018.

As you can see I have my hands full with animals both at home and at work!

Kieran Symes

Student Veterinary Nurse

Since a young age I have been interested in animals and have family pets, they consist of a Springer Spaniel called Charlie and three cats called Oliver, Daisy and Rodney.

After completing school I completed a Level 2 and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College. During my time at Sparsholt I also had a part time job as a stable hand for 3 years which I gained a lot of knowledge from.

I always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and have been here since February 2016 when the practice opened. I now have a great opportunity to further my knowledge and start training to be a Veterinary Nurse. In my spare time I like to walk Charlie and on some occasions ride when I have time.

Client Care Advisor

I started working at Vets4Pets in September 2016, you’ll usually see me at the weekends.

Sometimes my crazy Dalmatian Maisie will join me at the practice but I also have two beautiful children and two elderly (but still feisty) cats at home.

I have many years customer service experience in some interesting places and my last job was in a prison library! I love my job here though and really care about the animals and people I meet.

I hope to meet you and your pets soon!

Client Care Advisor

I joined Aimee and the team here at Vets4Pets Alton in September 2016. Previously I worked and cared for the elderly in residential homes, so I knew this would be an equally rewarding job. I love my job meeting and greeting the animals and their owners and no two days are the same. There is no better feeling than to see a poorly animal made better by the amazing team I work with. I enjoy helping Sophia with the monthly puppy parties, and love organising and attending the fates and Christmas fayres. My beautiful fur babies are my Bichon Willow, Cat Aurora and Hector who is a beautiful white and brown Lionhead rabbit who loves to bounce around the kitchen and sit on top of my shoes.

I have worked in administration and customer care for many years and joining Vets4Pets Alton has enabled me to combine my passion for great customer service and animal care. I have always loved animals big and small and being on the front line allows me to meet lots of furry friends. I have an eighteen year old daughter who has just started an apprenticeship at a children's nursery, which she is very much enjoying and a three year old French Bulldog called Gus who is totally nuts. He has me totally wrapped around his paws and is very spoilt.
