Dr. Aimée King BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2012. Since graduating I have worked in a small animal practice in Winchester. I then opened Alton Vets4Pets in February 2016. I like all aspects of being a vet but really enjoy soft tissue surgery.

I have a Flat Coated Retriever called Dexter, two cats called Oliver and Blossom and two rabbits called Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time walking the Dexter, baking and spending time with my family.

After leaving school, I completed my national diploma in animal management, at Sparsholt College. Since then I have been in practice for nine years. In 2013, I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse. I have a plummer terrier called Riley, who I rescued in 2010. In my spare time, I enjoy walking Riley, baking and going to the cinema.

Student Veterinary Nurse

After completing my level 3 extended diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College, I continued with the Veterinary Nursing Science degree at Sparsholt College, which is now coming to an end, after completing my OSCE’s exams I will be qualifying in July.

During my training I have worked in a small busy independent veterinary clinic, where my clinical and client skill have developed. When training I worked part time alongside in a out of hours clinic so experienced a wide range of emergencies. While working there a stray little puppy was brought in and I took him on with open arms and he joins me at work!

I have found a passion for animal behaviour and will hopefully be continuing training in animal behaviour to cater for puppy classes and to give behavioural and training advice.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Since a young age I have always been interested in animals and have family pets consisting of 2 cats, Salem and Daisy, and a dog called Pippa.  After completing school, I completed a Level 2 and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Sparsholt College.  During my time at Sparsholt I also had a part-time job as a stable hand for 3 years which I gained a lot of knowledge from.  I have always had a massive interest in horses and ride in my spare time.  I always wanted to work in veterinary medicine and it's a great opportunity to work in a new surgery.

After most of my life working in the retail sector I am now looking forward to the challenges of my new role as receptionist. I am originally from the North East of England but have lived and worked in the South over the past 2 years. Throughout my life I have had a variety of pets and now have Pete the Border Collie, Wilson the rabbit and Captain Cook the dwarf hamster.
