Meet the Altrincham Vet team

Nathan Fordham

Nathan Fordham

Veterinary Surgeon & Owner

I graduated from Liverpool University in 2005 and then spent a year in a mixed practice in Dolgellau, North Wales before heading south to Cardiff to work for the UK's biggest animals' charity, the PDSA. While there, as I am particularly interested in orthopaedics surgery, I further studied to get a general practitioner's certificate in surgery.

After meeting my wife, I moved up to Manchester and since then have worked in a number of practices around the North West.  I wanted a new challenge and now this is the opportunity for me to open my own practice at Vets4Pets Altrincham.

In my spare time I enjoy travelling, as well as snowboarding and kitesurfing: my favourite spot is Tarifa, in the South of Spain. We don't have pets at the moment but, having just bought a house, it's just a question of time.

I graduated from Liverpool University having undertaken an elective period in veterinary anaesthesia. I have a keen interest in preventative health care and rabbit medicine.

In my spare time I enjoy playing with my cat, Bean and fell-walking in the Lake District.

Victoria Jones

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (London) in 2015 and started my career as a mixed vet in Yorkshire, treating a wide range of species.

I came to realise that my passion lay in small animal medicine and surgery, particularly emergency medicine and neurology and so I moved to Altrincham to join the Vets4Pets team. In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, going for long walks and reading a good book.

Sara Powell

Veterinary Care Assistant

In September 2016 I backpacked around Thailand and volunteered at an elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Working with elephants every day and helping to make a difference for them made me realise I wanted to continue working with animals when I came home too.

I moved from Sheffield in December and have since started working at Vets4Pets and volunteering at Cats Protection in Warrington. In my spare time I take aerial acrobatics and gymnastics classes and spend my time with my two cats, Buffy and Kamina.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I am a student veterinary nurse who began studying in 2015 after carrying out work experience at my local vets and realising it was the career I wanted to persue. I completed my two year course in animal management in 2015 and have always loved caring for animals.

In my spare time I enjoy visiting new places with my dogs and spending time with friends.

After studying Animal Behaviour at University and volunteering at the Cats Protection League, I wanted to continue working in an animal environment.

I enjoy working at Vets4Pets and two days are never the same! In my spare time, I enjoy travelling to different places and looking after my grumpy 17 year old cat called Billy.
