Kirstin Craig

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from Glasgow Vet School in 2000 and have been working in small animal practices in Ayrshire since then. I have been a partner at Vets4Pets Ayr since 2011 and have recently become a partner at Vets4pets Irvine.

I aim to provide an excellent standard of veterinary care to our patients and look forward to meeting you. I enjoy all aspects of my work but have a particular interest in all types of surgery and rabbit medicine.

Outside work I enjoy riding my horse Obi and relaxing at home with my dogs Blue a red collie, Beryl the merle collie, Harry the rescue cat and my ever expanding collection of chickens!

I qualified from Edinburgh Vet School in 2009 and have been working in small animal practice ever since. I began my career in a large veterinary hospital in West Yorkshire and stayed there for three years before returning to Scotland. I joined the team at Vets4Pets in September 2013. I’m really enjoying being back at home in Ayrshire and getting to know our clients.

I enjoy all aspects of small animal work but am particularly interested in feline medical cases.

At home I have two cats, Harry and Jack, who I rescued during my time in Yorkshire.

After graduating from Glasgow Vet School in 2016 I worked in a small animal centre in Kilmarnock with a particular focus on emergency and critical care, before moving to Vets 4 Pets Ayr in August 2017 to further build my skills in medicine and surgery. I have a particular interest in internal medicine and anaesthesia, and particularly enjoy working up challenging medical cases.

I currently live in Kilmarnock with my husband, black Labrador and rescue cat. Outside of work I enjoy climbing mountains with my dog and cuddling up on the sofa with a good book and a cup of tea.

I qualified from Glasgow University in 2015 and started working in Ireland shortly after. I have just returned home to Ayrshire after spending 2 years in Northern Ireland working in mixed practice. Although I loved working in mixed practice my passion lies with small animals so I am looking forward to being able to focus my time on both medicine and surgery cases.

At home I have a dog Tillie who I rescued from a local charity a few years ago.

I am excited to be back home and cannot wait to meet all our clients.

Rebecca Jeffery

I qualified from University College Dublin in 2013. I moved to Scotland and joined the Vets4Pets team in Ayr in September 2017 after 4 years in a mixed practice in Northern Ireland.

I am really enjoying getting to know all of our pets and their owners, and delivering the highest level of care. I have a particular interest in the care of geriatric patients and ophthalmology.

When not at work I can usually be found in, on or beside the sea, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving or horse riding.

Practice Manager

I joined the team in October 2013 and have never looked back! Prior to this I spent nine years in retail management and feel lucky to be able to combine my skills with my love for animals.

Every day in practice is challenging yet very rewarding. I love meeting all our clients and their furry friends and can often be found in the reception area getting cuddles from our patients.

I feel privileged to be able to work with such an amazing team of Vets, Nurses and Client Care Representatives, their passion and dedication never fails to amaze me.

At home I have a four year old son and a crazy Ragdoll x Cat called Mr Boo, between them I am kept very busy.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been working for Vets4Pets since we opened in 2011. I worked as an animal care assistant gaining hands on experience and I eventually went on to start studying veterinary nursing. I became a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse in November 2016 and I am now thinking about taking an Exotic course.

I love my job because every day is different and there are always loads of animals in need of cuddles! I also take our Puppy Playgroup classes with the other nurses which is great fun.

I previously worked for over two years at Bonnybank Kennels and Cattery and completed a course in Animal Care at Reid Kerr College. While on the course I visited Barony College where I worked on the farm and delivered a few lambs!

At home I have a 12 year old Westie called Nell, a 6 month old Labrador called Kylo and a 2 year old Royal Python snake called Suarez! Outside of work I enjoy walking, reading and attending concerts.
