Mary Davey MRCVS

Head Veterinary Surgeon and Joint Venture Partner

Hi, I'm Mary and I am the Head Veterinary Surgeon and Joint Venture Partner at Vets4Pets Ballymena. I grew up in Ballymena but left to study veterinary medicine at University College Dublin, where I graduated in 2001.

I have always been interested in all animals from a very young age, I helped on relations farms and had many different pets while growing up.

I came back to the Ballymena area to work soon after graduating and was delighted to have the opportunity to open my own practice here at Vets4Pets in 2013. I'm really passionate about providing a high quality veterinary service to our clients and their pets.

When I'm not at work I'm looking after my kids, dogs, cats and have recently taken up the very interesting art of keeping bees.

Lorena Pulleiro Potel

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2012 in Veterinary Medicine and from the University of Murcia in 2013 in Master of Science Wildlife Management. Since then, I’ve been working in different wildlife rescue centers, mixed practices and doing as well some research in fish parasites.

In March 2015 I decided to leave Spain and live for a while in the beautiful green Ireland. As I was born in a small family farm, animals have been a constant in my life and this has leaded me to this rewarding profession. I rescued a lovely stray cat called Kevin few months ago, who make me really happy!

When I’m not working I am normally spending time with my own pets; playing Roller Derby or Boxing!

Veterinary Care Assistant and Receptionist

Hello, I’m Sarah! I’m the Veterinary Care Assistant and receptionist, I am relatively new to the team and I absolutely love working here. I love that no two days are the same and I love meeting all the animals that come through our doors.

I’ve four cats, one of which I adopted from the practice. I have previously kept cockroaches as pets and an array of exotic animals.

Lynsey McKeown

Hi, I’m Lynsey! I have worked on reception at Vets4Pets Ballymena for a number of years now and I can truthfully say it is the BEST job in the world! My top priority is client care and making sure that our clients and their pets feel welcomed, valued and cared for!

I have a whippet called Dory who found me through this job and she sometimes comes to work to help at reception (She isn’t very good at answering the phones!).

In my spare time I enjoy running and entering half marathons (And the occasional Marathon!)
