RVN From a young age I had a vested interest in animals, namely horses as I competed at local and national level in show jumping and even achieved qualification to Horse of the Year show at Wembley. My love of animals continued and I went on to study at Bishop Burton College where I attained an Advanced Diploma in Equine and Business Studies whilst also achieving BHSAI teaching qualification. Having run a successful business providing equine services combined with competing and teaching I decided to return to college studying Veterinary Nursing, qualifying in 2008 as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I enjoy the practical element of my job and have recently improved my competency by completing a course in surgical nursing. I am also a clinical coach, training and mentoring students in practice. I have a Dalmatian dog Ruby, a cat Minxy and three horses Mollie, Cookie and Poppy. My spare time is spent with my family, my husband and little girl Amelia and my little boy Fletcher. We enjoy days at the beach, bike rides, countryside walks and foreign holidays.
