Bishopbrigs Vets4Pets Chris McGaugie

Chris McGaugie

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I completed an Honours Degree in Microbiology & Immunology before moving on to Glasgow Vet School and qualifying as a vet in 2004. I have worked in mixed practices but have focused on small animal medicine and surgery since 2007. I feel that this range of experience has given me the drive and ambition to run my own practice and I am delighted to team up with Vets4Pets.

I enjoy all aspects of working as a vet and have a particular interest in internal medicine and exotics. I am currently studying for a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with which I aim to deliver an excellent service to the patients and clients of Vets4Pets Bishopbriggs.

Outside of work I love spending time with my wife, our son and daughter. I enjoy natural history, walking in the country and distance running if the time allows.

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2004 having previously obtained a BSc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Aberdeen.

Being a mostly full time mum to Ben (4) and Abbie (2) takes up the majority of my days but I really enjoy my time when working at Vets4Pets.

As a small animal clinician I particularly enjoy soft tissue surgery, dermatology and small furry medicine.

In our spare time I love taking the family swimming and on trips to the countryside.

Over the years Kim has shared her life with numerous cats and dogs, which have enriched her life and brought many smiles. The current menagerie includes two cats, Clicquot and GiGi, and a very lively Weimeraner, Madison.

Annette Irvine RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I qualified form Edinburgh Telford College in 2011.  I then worked for a year in emergency and critical care and another in general practice.  I then decided to travel as a locum nurse to gain more experience. This involved more out of hours work along with time at the Royal Vet College nursing neurological and surgery patients which I enjoyed very much. I transferred from the Stirling Vets 4 Pets practice at the beginning of the year  due to wanting to be nearer home for work.

Outside of work I enjoy chocolate, coffee, yoga, walking my dog Opal and curling up on the sofa reading.
