Joint Venture Partner & Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, i'm Brian and I am a 2003 graduate from the Royal Veterinary College. Upon graduation,I returned to my native Long Island, NY to work in small animal practice, including being a partner at a busy low-cost clinic. My family and I (wife, 2 daughters and various furry family members) returned to the U.K. in August 2016 to pursue a better quality of life - and we all love life here.

I have been working at Blackburn since April 2017. I have a special interest in surgery and dentistry and quite enjoy meeting all of the new patients that come in daily!

Registered Veterinary Nurse SQP

Hi, i'm Kate and i have been a registered Veterinary Nurse for 21 years. It has always been my passion and I still love it as much as ever! I started my career in a mixed practice where I trained and qualified. In the same practice i furthered my career and took on the role as Head Nurse which i held for 10 years. I returned to work after the birth of my youngest daughter in 2013 and this is when i joined Vets4Pets.

I enjoy all aspects of nursing, but I do have a soft spot for my older patients where I feel passionate about maintaining quality of life and health. I pride myself in giving my best to all pets that visit us and love the unconditional trust and loyalty they give us back. I have furthered my training with nutritional, diabetic, bereavement courses and gained a NVQ in becoming a SQP.

Registered Veterinary Nurse SQP

Hi I'm Stacey and I'm the Head Veterinary Nurse here at Blackburn. I have worked in the Veterinary Industry for 16 years and have been a qualified Nurse since 2010. I started at Vets4Pets in 2015 and have worked here at Blackburn since we opened in 2017.

I enjoy all aspects of my job but enjoy educating the public on how to care for their pets to give them the best life. Over the years I have visited many Primary Schools to educate young children how to look after and be safe around animals and have taken part in a couple of community events.

At the beginning of 2018 i became a Clinical Coach and now have two Students who I am training to become Veterinary Nurses.

My spare time is usually taken up with looking after our young daughter, two dogs and two rats....with a holiday or two thrown in if there's time!

My favourite part of work is caring for patients after their procedures.

In my spare time I enjoy arts and crafts, walking my 13y/o Westie, Dougal, and spending time with my two guinea pigs, Eddie and Dennis. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s).

Practice Manager

Hi my name is Claire, I am the Practice Manager at Blackburn.

I have been with Vets4Pets since March 2016 on Reception (which I loved) but I always felt I was well suited for a management position. In May of 2018, I was named the Client Service Manager and shortly thereafter was promoted to my current role as Practice Manager.

I absolutely love my role, being able to work with a great team, manage an excellent/rapidly growing practice and offer an extremely high standard of care for our patients is very rewarding.
