Vets4Pets Blackheath

Meet the Blackheath Vet Team

Idara Umo JVP blackheath

Idara Umo

Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from University of Bologna in 2002 and moved to the UK to do an MSc in wild animal health at the RVC.

While studying, I worked in small animal practice and developed an interest in exotic pets and small furries. I have since worked in various small animal practices across England and enjoyed a lot of what the UK has to offer.

I moved back to London and surrounding areas in 2005 and settled here. I love to spend my free time with my partner and our two little girls, swimming, reading and walks.

Celine Kaddu RVN CertZAM

Practice Manager

I have been with Vets4Pets Blackheath for a year now, but have been a veterinary nurse for 28 years! During that time I have gained a vast amount of experience in small animal and exotic nursing; both in clinical and in emergency. I enjoy both the clinical and management side of nursing.

I have a pair of cheeky chipmunks and I enjoy spending time with the family, running and playing hockey.

Elenora Corsi

Veterinary Surgeon

I come from Florence, Italy, and graduated in 2007 at the Veterinary Medicine University of Pisa. I arrived in the UK in 2014. My job is one of passions! I've wanted to become a vet ever since I was a child and I wouldn't be or want to do anything else. I love animals and I always do my best to take care of them.

I love travelling and usually immerse myself in nature. I love listening to music and exploring different countries and cultures, preferably far from crowded places!

Andreea Hutanu

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2015 in Iasi, Romania. Since I was a child I have always had a keen interest in animals. Before starting here at Vets4Pets Blackheath I had volunteered at another practice. Since joining the team I have grown in confidence and have learnt a lot.

I am an active person and enjoy participating in numerous outdoor activities.

Sam Falknur

RVN A1 CertVNEW Registered Veterinary Nurse

I came to work at Blackheath Vets4Pets in February 2016, but have been working in the veterinary industry since 2002. I became a qualified veterinary nurse in 2007 and have since gone on to become an assessor and clinical coach to assist with the training of student veterinary nurses.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, but I have a keen interest in exotic animals and I gained my Certificate in the Veterinary Nursing of Exotic Species in 2015.

When I am not working, I spend my time looking after my two young children and menagerie of animals and, if I get the chance, I enjoy reading, watching films and colouring.

Laura Pace

I have recently joined the team here at Vets4Pets Blackheath but I have learnt a lot in such a short space of time.

I have always had an interest in animal care and welfare, so whilst at college completed a Btec National Diploma in Animal Management. I then went on to study BSc Zoology at university.

I have a keen interest in aquatics and marine conservation.

I have been a receptionist for 10 years and I enjoy the interaction with both clients and pets. As part of my role I am a trained insurance adviser.

I have two dogs called Faith and Hope, also a cat called Jack. In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs and reading different material subjects on my Kindle.

I have been a receptionist here at Vets4Pets Blackheath for almost a year now. I really enjoy this job as I get to meet a lot of lovely animals, and it's amazing to see them improve and grow.

I myself have four cats; Jeva, Angel, Biscuit and Lucky, and one senior staffy Oscar. I am a big reader and I love reading.
