Dr Fiona Dobbie BscHons DVM MRCVS

Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I am so excited to be responsible for the health and wellbeing of all the pets in Blackpool Squires Gate. I have been in emergency critical care for the past 4 years and dealt with lots of emergency procedures, but I am now looking forward to being there for puppies/kittens and other animals and playing a role in all the healthcare needs for your pets throughout their lives. I am also looking forward to developing a bond with pets and owners alike.

Vets4Pets will allow me to do this in a state of the art practice, equipped with a range of procedures; from simple health checks and vaccines to those emergency procedures we all dread, with the utmost confidence that I will have everything I need in our custom built, brand new clinic.

The best thing about being a Vets4Pets JVP is that I have clinical freedom with management support. The best of both worlds.

At home we have a cheeky Scruffy Border Terrier, Shabba and two cats who were both rescues from work. Flower, named by my 6 year old daughter as she likes flowers and Lucky because she was lucky to survive a severe head trauma in an RTA.

One piece of advice that I would give to fellow Vets is if you love to concentrate on the animals and their medical needs, this is the perfect way to open your practice and still have your focus on the clinical aspect. No need to become bogged down with the business side of things- Although still having full involvement in the running of your clinic.

Keith Forest

Practice Manager

I'm Keith, the Practice Manager and Fiona's other half.

I have spent my whole career in retail management and I am really looking forward to the start of our new adventure with Vet4Pets.

We live in the Lakes and have one dog and three cats who all think that they are in control of the house.

Married for 7 years, we have three children, with the oldest being 6, so as you can imagine our life is quite hectic.

Outside of work, I love football and played at a good standard until a back injury ended my playing day :(

We are really excited about opening our practice and offering our clients the best possible care in a state of the art practice.

I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks and months.

Amanda RVN

Head Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a Vet Nurse in 2007. In 2010 I moved into the emergency sector and completed the emergency and critical care nursing certificate in 2012, gaining a distinction.

I also won the nurse of the year for the company I worked for.

In my new role, as head nurse, I will be at the forefront as a clinical coach to our trainee nurses.

I have a keen interest in emergency nursing and in bereavement.

In my personal life I like to keep fit, or injured in my case.

Until recently I had two adorable Cocker Spaniels who I loved going on long walks with.

I have a good group of friends and I enjoy dining out with them whenever I get the chance.

Chelsea RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

My name is Chelsea, I am one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses here at Vets4Pets Blackpool Squires Gate.

I graduated from Myerscough College following the completion of my degree in July 2015 and I have previously undertaken a level 2 in Animal Care and a level 3 in Animal Management at Salford City College.

I previously worked at the Animal Medical Centre referral services in Manchester for 3 years before joining Vets4Pets.

I joined Vets4Pets as I am a very enthusiastic nurse who is always looking to progress and incorporate my ideas into practice and Vets4Pets have given me the opportunity to fulfil that in a new practice with a lovely team.

I also have various pets including cats, rabbits, axolotls, snakes, bearded dragons, tarantulas and a frog which I love dearly :)

I have joined the Squires Gate team after moving from Manchester, where I worked as a receptionist in a data center. I am enthusiastic about people and animals and so looking forward to working with my amazing team of like-minded animal lovers.

I am a huge fan of cats, and have a cat called Cary Grant who has me wrapped around his little paw.

In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and cat, and have a passion for reading and painting.

I look forwards to meeting you all!
