Meet the Bletchley Vet Team

Amy Converse - Veterinary Surgeon & JVP

Amy Converse

Veterinary Surgeon & JVP

Amy  grew up in the United States having trained to be a vet there, qualifying in 2001. In 2009 she made the journey “across the pond” to move to the UK and has practiced here since then.  She has been with the Vets4Pets/Companion Care group working in Milton Keynes for the past three years.  As a resident of Bletchley she is thrilled to have her surgery in her own neighbourhood!

Her main interests include preventative medicine and geriatric care.  Her goal is to provide top notch customer service to each and every patient that she sees.

She treats each pet as if it was her own and strives to give the best quality care to her patients and clients.  In her free time she likes spending time with her fiancé, planting vegetables in her allotment, and travelling.  Amy has two very naughty black cats at home, called Bubba and Poppy.

Buckingham Vets4Pets Huw Morgan-Jones

Huw Morgan-Jones

Veterinary Surgeon & JVP

Huw will be working every 3rd weekend for us and during the week will be at Companion Care in Rooksley. Huw graduated from Bristol University in 1996. He completed a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2001 and then went to work in small animal hospital in London as their resident Orthopaedic Surgeon for 5 years. Amongst his other duties Huw was in charge of treating the orthopaedic problems for the Metropolitan Police Dogs.

Huw became the sole JVP at Companion Care Milton Keynes Vet Surgery in 2007 and has since lead the practice to become the Companion Care Practice of the Year in 2011. Huw now looks forward to taking his successes and experience into the new Vets4Pets Bletchley surgery whilst working alongside Amy. At work Huw has a particular interest in surgery and orthopaedics, he also has an interest in minimally invasive surgery (keyhole surgery) for some of the commonly performed operations at the practice.

Outside of work Huw is married and has 3 children and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also interested in outdoor pursuits and bushcraft and he also loves playing squash.

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, my name is Lauren and I'm one of the Vets at Vets4Pets Bletchley. I reached my lifelong goal and qualified as a vet in 2013 from Cambridge University. I spent my first two years working in a small animal practice in Bedfordshire before coming to Bletchley. I believe passionately in ‘one medicine’ with human and animal medicine being strongly integrated. I love speaking to my husband, who is a doctor, about new advances in human care and applying these to the animals that I see. My constant endeavour is to treat every patient as I would my own pet.

I am very interested in dental health and all areas of surgery. I am currently training in keyhole procedures and aim to offer keyhole spays in the near future.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with Cadbury my little dog, my husband and my family as well as gardening, walking, baking and sewing.

Veterinary Surgeon

Hello, my name is Susie. I am one of the new vets here at Vets4Pets Bletchley. I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice in 2016.

Kosice is Slovakias second biggest city and became my second home while I was living there. Originally I am from Norway. I have previously been working in large animal practice, but my passion is for small animal medicine.

At home in Norway I have my little white fluffy dog who I miss dearly. Hopefully I will be able to keep him here in the UK with me soon. In my spare time I like to travel and discover new places, I love skiing (as all Norweigians do), and I try to spend as much time with my friends and family as I can.

I am very grateful to be given an opportunity here at Vets4Pets, and I'm looking forward to seeing all your wonderful pets.

Bletchley V4P DONNA.jpg

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I'm Donna and joined the Bletchley team in September 2016 as one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVN).  Some of you may recognise me as I spent some time here on reception a while back.

I completed my nurse training at various small animal practices across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Before pursuing my career as a RVN I served in the Armed Forces and also spent time working in finance within the higher education service.

I have previously volunteered with the farm animals at HULA and will be volunteering in May 2017 in Oban at the Scottish SeaLife Sanctuary, and am also excited to be spending 4 weeks volunteering in Costa Rica in 2018 nursing orphaned Howler Monkeys.

I’m currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour and hope to be able to apply this learning within the practice in the future.

At home I have my 3 rescue animals, a 38 year old Spur Thighed Tortoise and two cats Charlie and Chester.

When not working or studying I enjoy spending time with family and friends and doing lots of reading, going to the Ballet and classical music concerts.

I look forward to completing my training and becoming a fully qualified nurse, and also can’t wait to meet all of our clients in the time to come.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Hi, my name is Molly and I'm a Veterinary Care Assistant. I first came to Vets4Pets Bletchley for work experience, after which I was lucky enough to be offered a job here. I also study Chemistry, Biology and Maths A levels at sixth form. Later this year I hope to study veterinary medicine at university so I can fulfil my dream of becoming a vet.

In my spare time I love to go horse riding, bake, and sing. I also spend time with my family, including my two terriers Posy and Leo, and my cat Moggy.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Hi, my name is Chanice and I am the kennel assistant here at Vets4pets Bletchley.

From a very young age I had a strong interest in the welfare of animals and have always wanted a career within that industry.

I was always that girl at school that would get upset at people for accidentally standing on an ant and my love for animals has only ever grown stronger.

I am currently owned by my crazy Labrador Alfie, my puppy Coco, and my little bunny Floppy. I also used to own a pony called Shakiera, I competed in a few shows with her, where she qualified for the CTR championships, and got me placed in a magazine.

In 2014 I began studying animal welfare at Moulton college, and am now looking to progress my knowledge and experience in caring for animals with Vets4pets.

I am then hoping to begin studying to become a veterinary nurse.

I am really looking forward to whatever this path will bring me and meeting you and all your lovely pets.
