Jonathan Tesh BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

Hello, I’m Jonathan, Veterinary Surgeon and partner at Vets4Pets Bourne. I grew up with a love of animals and I have wanted to be a Veterinary Surgeon for as long as I can remember. I spent five fantastic years studying Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College, London, graduating in 2000.

Since graduating, I have worked and gained experience and skills across a wide variety of small animal practices, including emergency and critical care and also developed an interest in ethics and welfare. I enjoy all aspects of general practice, with a particular interest in surgery.

I now look forward to the opportunity to consolidate this background, and partnering with Vets4Pets provides me with business support whilst giving me complete clinical freedom to deliver the highest possible level of care and service to my clients and their pets.

I am married with two young children. Away from the practice I enjoy taking our two dog, Olive, for walks, socialising with friends. I took up running in 2016 and completed the London Marathon in 2017. Since then I have taken part in several half marathons and I am currently back in training for the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon raising money for Wellchild.

I look forward to welcoming you all to Vets4Pets Bourne and getting to know your pets very soon.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I am Kirsty, head nurse at Vets4Pets Bourne. I have always wanted to work with animals and from a young age, I knew the direction I wanted to take. Whilst I was at secondary school I worked in a local vets on Saturday mornings, which confirmed that veterinary nursing was the career that I wanted to pursue. After passing my GCSEs, in 2000 I secured a place at a veterinary hospital to work full time and study towards my veterinary nursing qualification.

In 2004, I gained my qualification, since then I have worked in a variety of practices, from one man practices to hospitals and referral centres. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, but I have a particular interest in anaesthesia, medical nursing, behaviour and nutrition.

In 2014, I left veterinary nursing to pursue a teaching career, I have spent the last three years teaching animal care at a further education college and this year gained my Certificate in Education. My aim is to combine my veterinary nursing qualification, experience and passion for the industry with my teaching and train future veterinary nurses within the practice.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, dogs and friends, holidays and eating out. I am very proud to be a part of this practice, I look forward to meeting you and your pet and providing a high standard of care.

Hello, I'm Emma, one of the receptionists at Vets4Pets Bourne. While most of my previous experience has been in hospitality, I’ve always loved animals and spent much of my teenage years working on a local farm gaining experience in lambing, equine management and poultry rearing.

I have lived in various areas around Lincolnshire and Rutland all my life and I am currently settled in Stamford with my partner and our cat Bubbles.

Outside of work, I love taking time out to see family, in particular our family dog Bella, who loves nothing more than a muddy swim somewhere, skiing, and socialising with friends. I'm very excited about my new role at the practice, and of course meeting you and your pets.

My name is Helen, I am a receptionist at Vets4Pets in Bourne. In the past, I have worked in an equine veterinary practice for a number of years.

I have lived locally, in a village close to Bourne, all my life. I love living in the country, along with my husband, my 2 Springer Spaniels, Molly and Bramble, and my 3 cats, Midnight, Maisie and Pudding. From an early age I have had a wide range of pets from budgies and guinea pigs to horses.

Outside of my work in my spare time I love taking my dogs for walks in our beautiful countryside, socialising with my friends and family and going to watch Formula 1 Grand Prixs.

Three things on my bucket list are:

• Take a flight/taxi run in a Lancaster bomber plane

• Go on safari

• Visit Australia, why not pop into the practice and say Hi!
