K Laser treatment for your cat or dog

K Laser treatment for your cat or dog*

*Please note that K Laser treatment is only available at specific Vets4Pets practices.

What is K Laser?

K Laser is laser therapy for your pet cat and dog and has many beneficial uses such as alleviating chronic pain, accelerating healing and rehabilitation.

How does it work?

Laser energy is absorbed in water, increases local circulation and therefore drawing oxygen and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

Is it painful to my pet?

No, it is a painless process. It is usually pleasant and comforting to the animal, as a warming sensation is felt at the treatment site.

When is K Laser beneficial?

Pain management – this is a non-invasive therapy used instead of drug therapy for the treatment of chronic pain.

Wound healing – Laser therapy can significantly reduce healing time, while at the same time improving the quality of tissue (stronger, more normal tissues, less tension and scar formation) traumatic skin injuries and surgical incisions benefit greatly from laser intervention.

Rehabilitation – bone and muscle injuries and orthopaedic surgeries often require additional rehabilitation solutions. Laser therapy provided non-invasive remedies for quicker recovery.

How long before the results are felt?

Your pet may feel improvement in their condition after the first treatment. Sometimes they will not feel improvement for a number of treatments. This does not mean that nothing is happening. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3-4 sessions
