Vets4Pets Bromborough

Meet the team

Julie

Veterinary Nurse

I decided I wanted to work with animals from a young age, after leaving school I went to Reaseheath college to study animal care. I started working in Veterinary Practice in 2002 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2007.

I have previously worked in Ellesmere Port and Speke and joined the Vets4Pets team in 2017. I'm interested in behaviour and weight management and I enjoy working with the clients to help make their animals healthy and happy.

In my spare time I like to look after my Cavalier called Rusty and my leopard gecko called Fumbe. I also like to stay active by going to gym classes and I have ran a few half marathons for charity.

Rachel

Student Veterinary Nurse

Hello, Well, what a difference a year makes. I have transferred from Ellesmere Port Vets4Pets to help set up and work in the brilliant new Bromborough branch with more opportunities . Whilst I had my time at Ellesmere Port Vets4Pets, I met lots of wonderful clients and their pets that I will never forget. I also enjoyed getting involved with the emergency medicine which I really enjoyed such enucleations and orthopaedic surgery. I also completed my degree in Animal Studies and very proudly collected my cap and gown in October 2016 so I have officially got my BSc Honours :)

But onto my next adventure in the veterinary world and in the end April 2017 I will be starting my veterinary nurse training. So I am the Bromborough branches very first student veterinary nurse. Excited Times! My real ambition is to become a veterinary surgeon myself.

Since I can remember I have always been around animals and loved them. I have worked in the local dairy farm and volunteered at the local rescue centres. When I am not in working helping other peoples beloved animals. I am with mine, either riding or competing my three gorgeous horses, training or walking my beautiful border collie Archie Rubble who does obedience and agility, cuddling my four cats and bunny or just simply spoiling my gorgeous Niece.

My favourite type of wildlife is hedgehogs which resulted in me owning African Pygmy Hedgehogs and I still help and rescue the wild hedgehogs, I love to rehabilitate them and release them back out on my stables and land. I also like to travel to see my family over in Canada so last year as a graduation present I was surprised with tickets to go and visit and it was amazing I got the opportunity to see Niagara falls and also got to see much of their wildlife such as deer and coyotes which was amazing.

I cannot wait to meet all our new clients and get to meet and work with all your lovely animals.

Olivia

Veterinary Care Assistant

Hi, my name is Olivia I am the new Veterinary Care Assistant at Bromborough Vets4Pets. I am currently studying Level 3 Diploma in animal care at Reaseheath College.

It's always been my dream since a young age to work with animals, my favourite aspect is helping to care for the animals and knowing that I am making a difference, therefore I knew veterinary was for me! I'd like to train and qualify as a veterinary nurse once I've finished my animal care diploma.

I live in an animal mad household with 5 dogs. Dotty is my own dog she is a miniature, short-legged jack Russell so she's extremely cute! My parents have four more dogs: a jack Russell, border collie x and two cocker spaniels.

My favourite thing to do in my spare time is to take my dog Dotty down to the beach on a lovely sunny day.
