Tom Butler Veterinary Surgeon Llanrumney

Tom Butler - BVetMed CertSAS MRCVS

Practice owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2002.

I have always been surrounded by pets, currently Missy a Black Lab, and Bramble a Border Terrier.

I have always wanted to run my own practice; I aim to treat all my patients as if they were my own and pride myself on involving clients in my clinical decision making for their pets.

In 2010 I passed the RCVS certificate in small animal surgery (CertSAS). I am one of very few vets in South Wales to have this qualification, which means as well as providing GP services I can also perform referral level operations (soft tissue and orthopaedics) for my patients here in Llanrumney.

I am an avid rugby fan, and in a previous life played professionally for Leicester Tigers. In time out of work you can find me on Caerphilly Mountain with the dogs! I look forward to welcoming you to the practice.

Delyth Butler- BVetMed (Hons) CertSAM MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated at the top of my year from The Royal Veterinary College, London in 2004.

Since graduation I have kept up my studies as I aim to provide the best possible care to the pets that I treat. I have completed both the ESVP Certificate in feline medicine, and the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine; the latter being a qualification very few vets in South Wales have.

I am particularly passionate about helping pets with medical conditions such as bowel disease, kidney failure and heart and lung disease. I previously worked in a large Midlands practice seeing pets with these conditions referred to me from other vets.

Even though many of these conditions cannot be cured, I strongly believe that in the right hands we can provide these patients with the best quality of life for as long as possible. Here at Llanrumney Vets4Pets we like to work with owners as a team, giving you all the options available for you and your beloved pets.

Charlotte Friswell

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have recently joined Llanrumney Vets4Pets, in June 2015. My main clinical interests lie in pain management, canine and feline behaviour and peri-operative care.

My pets include a stubborn Italian Spinone called Florence & Clawdette the domestic shorthaired cat! Florence has a few ongoing medical complaints which means I really understand how distressing having a poorly pet can be.

My aim is to look after each patient as my own and give them the care I would like my furry babies to receive!

I have a soft spot for all animals – even spiders! I have a 5 year old male Persian cat named Tommy and a 6 month old kitten named Dennis (who is a menace!).My favourite pet was an Amazon parrot called Chico, who sadly isn’t with us anymore. He used to enjoy singing along to S Club Seven’s ‘Reach for the Stars’!

I really enjoy being part of the Llanrumney community, and aim to provide an excellent, friendly service as we become part of your pet’s extended family. Feel free to pop in and say hello, we would love to see you.
