Jo Holly

Veterinary Surgeon (JVP)

I am married to Rich (the practice manager) and have two children, Arlo and Elise. We also have a cockapoo called Winnie, who is bonkers. We love being outdoors as a family and enjoy camping and hill-walking. I love my job as it allows me to spend my time with all shapes and sizes of animal and we have such a lovely team here. I am the partner and senior Vet at the practice which means my days are never dull or quiet.

Practice Manager

 I joined the practice in 2012 having previously had incarnations as a science teacher, a drugs worker and a stay-at-home dad. Our children our now at primary school and I’m often found doing the school runs, cooking dinners and refereeing some genuinely spectacular arguments. I love coming to work for some peace and quiet and I thoroughly enjoy working alongside such an amazingly dedicated team every day.

I joined the practice in 2014 on a part-time basis. I qualified as a vet in 1998 from Liverpool Veterinary School. I live in Mold and am married to an electrician who is a very good handyman at home. I enjoy DIY and at the minute we are modernising our bungalow, a work in progress! I am chief lawnmower and hedge cutter at home but also enjoy Zumba, reading, going out for meals and drinking the odd glass of white wine.

Nicola Dodd

Vet

I joined the practice in 2015. I graduated from Nottingham University in July 2013 and worked in Liverpool before moving to North Wales. I have 2 dogs, Ella the Cocker Spaniel and Leo the Collie cross, and 4 rabbits (three Dutch and one Lionhead). I love to walk around the countryside in North Wales with my partner and the dogs. I enjoy travelling and have recently visited Thailand and Cape Town.

I graduated from Liverpool University in 2010 and have been working in the Chester area since 2013. In my spare time I love walking my dog Freddie or baking at home. I also have a very fluffy cat called Leo, who we rescued after he was found in the rain under a hedge.

I joined the practice in February 2016. I am married with two boys, Harry and Jack. I love to spend time with my family and my 14 year old pooch, Frodo Baggins. I love to bake and consequently took up running 2 years ago and now run 15km a week.

I joined the practice when it opened in 2008. I started veterinary nursing in 2002. I initially worked at an exotic practice and following that, a hospital. I am a tea and cake lover. I have recently bought a new house that I am working on and hope to plan my wedding in the next couple of years.

I started working in practice in 1999 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008 and joined Vets4Pets in 2015. I live in Liverpool and have a dog called Milly. I love all things crafty and love to cook.

I started at the practice in 2015. I have been an RVN since graduating from UCD Dublin in 2009. I am originally from the Wirral but am recently back from exploring the Emerald Isle where I spent 16 years. I spent 10 years working in a mixed practice on the west coast. I love visiting sweet shops and trying new sweets, my favourite sweets are pick’n’mix. I love visiting new places and going on holidays.

I completed my masters in Zoology and worked in kennels for a year before moving to Chester and joining the practice in 2013. I started at Vets4Pets as a receptionist and then moved on to work as a Student Veterinary Nurse, before qualifying in October 2016.

I joined the practice in 2014. Born and bred in Chester, I am a home bird but soon to be leaving my parents nest. I am eager to learn and I enjoy succeeding. I am looking forward to becoming a qualified RVN in the summer of 2017. I love to travel and enjoy filling in my journal, usually accompanied by my little dog.

I joined the practice in 2012. I was born in Plymouth and previously lived in Germany for 14 years and Cyprus for 2 and a half years before moving to Chester. I have 2 dogs, Oliver and Rupert, and a cat called Chloe. In my spare time I like spending time with and riding my horses. I love to walk around the countryside and going on holidays (but I do miss my fur babies when I’m away!).

I joined the practice in 2015. I’m from South Africa and I have always loved and had a passion for animals and wanted to work with them. I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Psychology and I began my Student Veterinary Nurse course in August 2016. I love travelling and learning about different cultures, trying new things and new food.

I joined the practice in February 2016. Prior to working here, I worked in a boarding kennels for 3 and a half years. My passion has always been to work with many different types of animals so when the opportunity arose I jumped at the chance to work here. My future aspiration is to one day train as a veterinary nurse and to travel.

I first started working at the practice at the beginning of August 2016. I have loved animals from a young age so I knew I always wanted to work with them. After school I went to Reaseheath College to study Animal Behaviour and then Welfare at Chester University BSC (Hons). I also have a passion for rescuing unwanted pets, mainly rodents and fish. I currently have a hamster named Peach and Daisy the cocker spaniel.

I first started working at Vets4Pets in May 2016, I have always had a love for animals and always hoped to work with them, so when the opportunity arose to work at Vets4Pets, I jumped at it. I went to college to study Animal Management and then progressed to complete a degree in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. I have a pet rabbit named Bowe and various tropical fish. One of my favourite hobbies is wildlife photography and I particularly enjoy taking pictures of birds. I also have a love for South Africa after travelling there in 2013, and I hope to return there one day to do some voluntary work.

I joined Vets4Pets in August 2016. I have always had a love for animals and an interest in wildlife. I currently own 4 snakes and would love to have a couple of dogs one day soon. I graduated from the University of Chester with a BSc in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology. I have spent time in Botswana, participating on the conservation research programme of the various animals in the area. Since graduating I have spent my time volunteering with Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Chester Cathedral Falconry Centre and even met David Attenborough! In my spare time I practice my Wildlife Photography and in the future I would like to teach others about animals or study to become a vet nurse.
