Colin Vets4Pets Cramlington

Dr Colin Skinner BVSc MRCVS

Joint Venture Partner and Veterinary Surgeon

Colin graduated from Pretoria University in South Africa and has spent 38 years in practice, becoming partner here in 2008. He has built up a wealth of international veterinary experience having worked in South Africa in his own practice and across the UK in both small animal and mixed practices. He returned to Newcastle having worked here as a Temporary Veterinary Inspector in 2001/2 on Foot and Mouth diagnoses and control and subsequent farm re-stocking programmes. Colin's specialities include surgery, including orthopaedics. In his spare time he enjoys computing and photography.


Sadhana Brown Veterinary Surgeon Vets4Pets Cramlington

Sadhana Brown BVM&S MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Sadhana graduated from Edinburgh University in 1998 and joined us in 2010. She has a particular interest in medical cases. Sadhana has a German Shepherd called Carly and a terrier cross called Sapphy. She enjoys walking and taking breaks with her dogs, reading and going to the cinema.

Katie Newson BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Katie graduated in 2013 and joined us here at Cramlington in 2015. Katie has 3 cats at home, Phoebe, Maggie and Rosie. Outside of work she enjoys hiking and cycling. She is currently studying for a Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice specialising in feline medicine.


Emma Foxall Head Veterinary Nurse Vets4Pets Cramlington

Head Veterinary Nurse

Emma has been nursing since 2001, qualifying in 2007, and joined us in 2010, becoming our Head Nurse in 2011. She has an interest in dog behaviour & training, and presents Canine First Aid courses as well as organising our Community Vet of Choice activities. She also has an interest and role in the management side of the practice. At home she lives with a menagerie of dogs, cats, rabbits, and even a pair of Giant African Landsnails. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, reading and cinema.


Vicki Withers Veterinary Nurse Vets4Pets Cramlington

Vicki Withers RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Vicki joined us in 2010 and she achieved her SQP qualification in 2017. She has an interest in dog training and welfare and enjoys grooming. In her spare time she likes reading and walking her dogs. At home she has several border collies.

Emma Thompson RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Emma has been nursing since 2006 and joined us in 2012. At home she has a Labrador called Bron and a cat called Leon. Outside of work she enjoys baking, gardening and tending her allotment.

Amy has been nursing since 2001, and joined us in 2015. She especially enjoys assisting with surgery and radiography. Amy also really enjoys nurse clinics and meeting all the patients and their families. At home she has a terrier called Millie. Outside of work she enjoys going for walks and picnics, and playing her fiddle in a Ceilidh Band.

Victoria Penaluna RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Vicki joined us here at Cramlington in March 2017. She began her nursing career in 2001 becoming qualified in 2007. Vicki enjoys most aspects of nursing but has interests in patient care, radiography and rabbits; she has achieved a Certificate in Nursing of Exotic Species. At home Vicki lives with her dog Betty and enjoys dog grooming, art and photography.

Sue Emmerton

Student Veterinary Nurse

Sue joined us at Cramlington in 2014. She has a particular interest in animal dentistry and holds a SQP qualification. Outside of work she enjoys trips with the family and fundraising for several charities.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Anna started her nursing career in 2010, she joined us in the summer of 2017. She has a particular interest in canine behaviour, and is currently completing a diploma in behaviour. She also takes care of our in house laboratory. At home she is kept busy with her 2 Pomeranians, Simba and Nala and rescue kitten Rupert. In her spare time she enjoys baking and going to the gym.

 

Sarah McPhillips

Animal Care Assistant

Sarah joined us in November 2015 as a Receptionist and has recently become an Animal Care Assistant. She has a special interest in exotics. At home she has 2 lurchers, Gyp and Jess. She enjoys going out with friends and walking in her spare time.

Jude Bell CSM Vets4Pets Cramlington

Jude Bell

Client Service Manager

Jude joined the team in January 2013. She previously ran a home boarding business for dogs. At home she has a lurcher called Finn. Outside of work she enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, reading, cycling and walking.

Receptionist

Gemma joined us as a Receptionist in 2010 after volunteering with us previously. She has a BTEC Diploma in Animal Care, a National Diploma in Animal Management and is qualified as an SQP. She has a dog called Jet and a cat called Samara. Outside of work she enjoys going out with friends, spending time with family and taking her dog for long walks.

Ashleigh Robbie

Receptionist

Ashleigh joined us in 2015. She has a Jack Russell called Bodie. She enjoys socialising with friends and going for long walks on the beach with her dog and friends.

Gillian Letford

Receptionist

Gillian joined us in October 2017 and she previously worked in a dental practice. She has a dog called Abbie and a cat called Louis.

Kristina Elliot

Receptionist

Kristina joined us in March 2015. At home she has 2 cats, Dempsey and Jazzy. In her spare time she enjoys baking, reading and creative crafts.
