Meet the Dorchester Vet Team

Aimee Elsden

Aimee Elsden BVetMed CertAVP (SAM) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon & Partner

Aimee graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and gained extensive experience working in a busy Veterinary Hospital in Dorset. She enjoys investigating medical cases and has completed the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Medicine). This prestigious further qualification is awarded by the RCVS, the governing body of veterinary surgeons, and involves a huge amount of additional study and examinations to prove expertise and experience within the field of small animal medicine.

Away from the excitement of running the practices she enjoys exploring Dorset, swimming and riding her horse called Dave!

Anna Warren

Anna Warren BVetMed (Hons) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

Anna grew up in Devon and graduated with Honours from the Royal Veterinary College in 2005. Following several years in mixed practice in Bedford Anna relocated to the South Coast to develop her skills in a busy Veterinary Hospital in Dorset. She then gained considerable surgical experience over 3 years working at the PDSA Hospital in Portsmouth.

Anna has a particular interest in diagnostic imaging (ultrasound and radiography) and small animal surgery.

In her spare time Anna enjoys exploring the Jurassic Coast on foot, playing golf, cycling and early morning beach runs!

James Gould BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008 and has since worked in a number of practices both in the UK and abroad, he particularly enjoyed his time spent doing charity work overseas.

In his spare time James enjoys fishing, walking his Lurcher Alfie, and has recently taken up paragliding.

Kathryn O'Connor

Student Veterinary Nurse

Kathryn joined us in 2014 for work experience and soon became a permanent member of the team. She is currently studying at Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing.

In her spare time Kathryn enjoys reading, walking, watching films and being entertained by her 2 young cats Elvis and Priscilla.

Shakira Brading

Client Service Manager

Currently on maternity leave

Shakira has been working for Vets4Pets since February of 2016, having just moved down from London after five years living and studying there. 

She trained in Performing arts but has always had a love for animals. Her family run a cattery and small animal boarding business on Portland which she regularly helps out with. Shakira worked alongside Battersea Cats and Dogs Home in London whilst working at Pets at Home, helping them to re-home animals on a daily basis. 

She has two cats, Merlin a Maine Coon cross and Barbos the tabby. 

In her spare time she teaches dance and helps clean out her family ducks!

Vicky Packer

Client Service Manager

Vicky joined Dorchester Vets4Pets in August 2018 having previously worked at a veterinary surgery in Bournemouth as a receptionist for nearly 3 years. She has plenty of experience having worked in a variety of different environments within the Animal Care industry. As a Receptionist she really enjoys meeting clients and their pets, and learning about the different conditions that animals can be affected by. Vicky has completed the Animal Management Diploma at Kingston Maurward and more recently her Bronze Certificate towards the Accredited Veterinary Receptionist Award with the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.

Vicky recently relocated to Dorchester to be with her partner, leaving her mother in charge of her menagerie - a Border Collie, 4 Cockatiels and a variety of coldwater and tropical fish. She goes back to visit at least once a week to spend quality time with her beloved pets (and family.

In her spare time she runs a youth group and enjoys swimming, photography and arts & crafts. She also enjoys walking and exploring new places.

Faye Parker

Client Service Manager

Faye has been working with Dorchester Vets4Pets since July 2018. Previously she worked for a small charity for 3 years, doing everything from animal care to reception tasks. She is so pleased to be able to continue working with animals and loves meeting clients' pets, particularly their new family members!

Faye studied for just over a year at Sparsholt College in Winchester to achieve a Diploma in Animal Management. As part of this course she got to work with a wide range of animals, but has plenty of experience with pets.

Faye has a little Chihuahua cross at home who runs the house! But what Chihuahua doesn't? In her spare time she enjoys long walks and singing.
