The Vets4Pets Eccleshill Surgical Referral Service provides high-end veterinary diagnosis both for our first opinion practice as well as those referred to us by other veterinary surgeons with patients requiring specialised surgery.
If your pet is referred to us by your primary vet, you can rest assured that we will provide you and your pet with the best possible care, as we aim to deliver the most advanced surgical support available. Our main surgeon, Tamsin Chance qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1999 and has always had a keen interest in surgery.
She achieved the Royal College Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2009 and worked as the main surgeon in a large hospital practice for eight years prior to joining Eccleshill in 2012. She is very experienced in all areas of surgery and is happy to give phone advice or have cases referred to her directly.
Her expertise includes a range of advanced surgical procedures aimed at diagnosing and treating rare and unusual conditions.
The surgical team also includes Francesca Connolly BVMS Cert SAS MRCVS.
Francesca graduated from Glasgow University in 2004 and achieved the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2012. She is experienced in all aspects of surgery and is happy to undertake more complex cases.
She also has a keen interest in pain management and as an extension of this has undertaken extra training in acupuncture. This can be a useful adjunct in the management of many acute and chronic conditions but is particularly useful for musculoskeletal pain and chronic osteoarthritis. It is also useful in cases where concurrent illness limits the use of other analgesia.
