I am delighted to be serving the pets of Edinburgh and offering you a 7 day a week service here at Fort Kinnaird. I am a graduate of the Dick Vet and have remained a local ever since graduating in 2007 (apart from a two and a half year stint in Aberdeenshire wrestling cattle and poaching our Practice Manager, Gemma). I love Edinburgh city and the countryside in this part of the world and feel very privileged to be able to call this my home. I live just outside of town with my husband, young son and a small menagerie; Alfie the Staffie cross, Cassie a rescued Maine Coon and Lucky a budgie who flew into our garden one day and stayed. Outside of work, I love being with my son, going to birthday parties, taking him swimming, soft play and bike rides. We often walk the dog together and recently, since we moved to a house with a garden, I have set myself some gardening challenges. With my husband – we love to cook and enjoy a glass of wine with a good film or a Game of Thrones episode. I opened Fort Kinnaird in 2011 and it has been a rich journey bringing you veterinary services for all these years. We have a terrific, international team here who are all amazing individuals and who truly care about the standard of veterinary care they are able to provide. I am very proud of the hard work that the team delivers every day of the week and we promise to continue to strive in improving our pet care and client services to you. This is what excites me and makes me happy to be a business owner. You will find me consulting every 3rd weekend where I often see a good number of Polish clients and their pets. If you are in need of a Polish speaking vet then please call in. Otherwise, I am also available during the week on certain days. Looking forward to seeing you and your pets in our clinic!

I graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) Veterinary Medicine school in 2015. During my studies I worked as a veterinary assistant in many clinics in Thessaloniki. After my graduation, I joined the Greek army for 9 months and was transferred to the Military Veterinary Hospital of Northern Greece working as a vet.

Right after this period I moved to Edinburgh to study in the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Science and Roslin Institute. I studied MSc Animal Biosciences where I worked in the oncology department. My work was focused on the treatment of the lethal squamous cell carcinoma in cats and I graduated with Distinction. I joined Vets4Pets in 2017.

I always try to provide the best possible care for the pets and create a bond of trust with our clients.

Currently I am attending the courses for the Small Animal Surgery (SAS) and General Practitioner Postgraduate Certificates.

Finally I have pets, Frufru (miniature dachshund), Karla (Belgian Malinois) and my cat Mavroula.

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2010. After qualifying, I worked in my home town of Elgin, Moray, at a practice that treated predominately companion animals. I left Elgin and travelled to New Zealand where I spend 6 months working in a cat practice. Since coming back from New Zealand I have lived and worked in Edinburgh.

I have worked at Vets4Pets for just over 5 years and really love my job here. I returned to work at the start of 2017 after having my first baby. I now work part-time between Fort Kinnaird and Musselburgh Vets4Pets. I am really enjoying being back at work. The area of my job I like most is helping with pets that have come in for surgical procedures. I enjoy preparing for surgery, taking blood samples, placing intravenous catheters and monitoring anaesthetics.

At home I have a little black cat called Puss who is 15 years old. She generally keeps to herself, sometimes I get to pet her, occasionally I get to pick her up for a cuddle! I wouldn’t have her any other way. Puss has arthritis and eats a special diet food which helps with her joints.

Having spent 8 years working in a veterinary practice in Aberdeenshire, I made the move to Edinburgh in 2011 to start work here as Receptionist at Vets4pets Fort Kinnaird. This role lead to me becoming Practice Manager and then more recently becoming a partner in the Musselburgh surgery which opened in 2017. I now work across the Fort Kinnaird and Musselburgh practices and I have enjoyed getting to know all our clients and their pets. I have a feisty tabby cat called Marley who I adopted over ten years ago now. She is about 13 and has a number of health issues which make her quite a regular visitor to the surgery. I live in Edinburgh with my son who keeps me very busy! In my spare time I enjoy getting out in the fresh air and exploring Edinburgh and surrounding areas, running and visiting my family.

Our Vets4Pets practice is an affordable and modern veterinary practice which is conveniently located inside the Pets at Home store at Fort Kinnaird Retail Park. We are open seven days a week.
