Exeter Vets4Pets

Bronwen qualified from Murdoch University in Western Australia in 2001. She worked in mixed practice for three years and then spent four years in Greece doing sea turtle conservation. She holds a postgraduate certificate in conservation medicine. Bronwen enjoys medicine and dentistry. Bronwen has a British Shorthair called Murphy. In her spare time Bronwen, likes hiking, yoga and the theatre.

After qualifying in 2001, Katie worked in mixed then small animal practice, quickly developing an interest in all aspects of small animal surgery.

She gained her Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2007 and became a RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. She has many years experience in first opinion and referral practice.

‘Advanced Practitioner’ is an official recognition of a veterinary surgeon's particular knowledge and skills. The list of Advanced Practitioners provides a clear indication of those veterinary surgeons who the RCVS have accredited at postgraduate certificate level (Masters level 7) who have demonstrated knowledge and experience in a particular area of veterinary practice beyond their initial primary veterinary degree, and who have also confirmed that they are up to date in their field over and above the minimum requirements for continuing professional development.

It is important to understand that Advanced Practitioners are not RCVS/European Specialists and there will be cases where referral to a tertiary referral centre is more appropriate.



Chloe graduated from the Royal Veterinary College London in 2014, and worked for two years in mixed practice. Since then she has worked solely in small animal practice, and has developed a particular interest in surgery. 

Chloe lives on a small farm with her husband, and when not vetting she’ll be busy looking after the animals or tending the veg patch and garden. 

Turlough graduated in 2012 and has been working in the UK ever since. Starting out in mixed practice he soon found his love of surgery and started focusing on small animals. 

He has worked in a variety of practices and hospitals and for the past 2 years worked as an emergency night vet. Turlough took the Leave Vet role at Exeter vets4pets in January 2023 after a period of locum work at the practice. Living local in Exeter he is looking forward to helping the team develop their talents to provide the best service possible to all our clients and patients. 

Outside of work he will be spending time with his family or usually doing some sort of fitness, from coaching or competing in CrossFit to triathlons, sailing or other watersports.

Gaetano graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine of Camerino (Italy).

Initially worked in France, then in Krakow (Poland) where he worked in his own clinic and in 2016 he settled in England.

Gaetano enjoys soft tissue surgery and dentistry.

He is regularly commended for a professional and friendly approach to clients and their pets; always seeking out the best treatment plan and ensuring the animal's welfare is the primary focus.

Gaetano has a strong desire to continue to grow and develop professionally.

In his spare time, Gaetano loves spending time on the farm of his future wife Jo and riding horses, walking his Whippet called Oro, gardening and meeting friend

I came over to the Vet Group in May 2018 as Business Manager, my previous experience was Head Nurse & Practice Manager of a Multi site veterinary surgery gaining them RCVS GP Accreditation. Myself and Head Nurse Jenna Holly worked hard to get Exeter through this accreditation and have been awarded GP Accreditation. 

I have interests in Dentistry, Surgery, Radiography and Medical inpatient care. I have a special interest in the wellbeing of our clients and am also a Pet Bereavement Support Practitioner enabling me to support clients through difficult times.

Having gained qualifications in Animal Behaviour & Bereavement, I have also gained an NHS RCVS leadership qualification, completed my Advance Certificate in Dentistry gaining NCert in dentistry and I have started an Emergency and Critical Care Certificate in December 2021. I am also a Mental Health First Aider with Mental Health First Aid England ( MHFAE ). 

I am the Director of the Exeter branch leading a large team of Client Care Assistants, Admin Team, Veterinary Surgeons, Animal Care Assistants, Student Veterinary Nurses and Registered Veterinary Nurses.

I have a daughter called Summer, husband Luke and an Alaskan Malamute Dog. 

I enjoy working with Sled Dogs and was part of the Emergency Sled Dog Veterinary team at the British Sled Dog sports federation events at the Forest of Dean ensuing the wellbeing of the dogs health and am part of the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association.

Previously from Bristol i qualified in 2006. In 2017 i came down to Devon to work for Vets4pets Exeter where i became Head Nurse. I have a Rottweiler and a terrier and you can guess who the boss is. 

I have a passion in anesthesia and dentistry and enjoy my job overall. in my spare time i love being outdoors, paddle boarding, dog walking and amongst nature. 

I am Jenny Frayne RVN. I have been a qualified nurse since 2018 but have been working for Vets 4 Pets Exeter since 2013, starting out as an animal care assistant before going on to complete my veterinary nursing diploma. I currently have no pets but am looking to adopt an elderly rescue cat at some point in the future.

Outside of work I love to travel and visit new places.

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2008 and since then have worked in a mix of first opinion and referral practices. Outside of work, I volunteer for a sighthound rescue charity and have adopted Greyhounds from them.

Hi my name is Sophie Letten and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Vets4Pets Exeter. I have been with this practice since 2016 and have been fully qualified as a nurse since 2021. I love all aspects of nursing but my particular interests include inpatient care, laboratory work and pharmacology.

In my spare time I like to paddleboard, practice yoga and spending quality time with friends and family.

At home, I have four dogs: a crossbreed named Millie, three miniature dachshunds named Martha, Willow and Bonnie and a Syrian hamster named Wilbur

Hi, I'm Susie , a newcomer to the vets4pets family here in Rydon Lane (starting in 2019). I have been nursing in the UK & Middle East for around 20 years. Recently I enjoyed a few temporary shifts with this amazing team and am delighted to be a permanent member. In my spare time I love the outdoors, swimming & campervanning, and often combine this with hitching the trailer & staying at shows and dressage events with my daughter & our horse 'creation'.

In May 2022 Susie came over to work with the Client Care Advisors and support the team with her Nursing knowledge on the front desk. 

My name is Jayne and I am still new to the team having joined in October 21 as a locum and I loved it so much I am now a permanent member of the team and very excited to be the Deputy Head nurse.  I am extremely passionate about my profession, especially when it comes to animal welfare and I am hoping in the future to specialise in Surgical nursing.

In my spare time I am an aesthetics practitioner and am kept busy by my 2 Boerboels Doris & Ernie, who also love coming into work and getting lots of cuddles from my colleagues 

We also have one Student Veterinary Nurse about to take her Exams 

Nicola joined 2013 to cover maternity leave and ended up becoming a permanent member. Completed a HND in Animal Nursing and Management at Bicton College in partnership with University of Plymouth. Lives in Exeter with partner and daughter and Leopard Gecko called Mushu.

Nicky has been with Vets4Pets since May 2010. Her background is in managing pubs and restaurants. She rehomed a stray cat that was brought into the surgery, needing a home which is now called Button. Her hobbies include swimming, DIY and gardening.

After 8 years of working at Pets At Home, I was ready for a new challenge and joined Vets 4 Pets in 2019. I have gained a vast amount of knowledge from working in the shop and I am also SQP trained , so I can sell some types of licensed Flea and worm medications .
I enjoying walks along the river and spending time with family and friends .

At home I have an English bull terrier called Fergus, two guinea pigs , a hamster and a rabbit, who all keep me very busy :)

Hi my name is Sam, I have worked for companion care / vets4pets Exeter since June 2007 on reception and now as practice administrator and a client care advisor.

I love all the pets that come into us and have had the pleasure and privilege to see lots go from bouncy pups and kittens up into their twilight years and getting to know there wonderful mums and dad's too. 

As well as my job here I have 2 lively boys at home, a husband and most importantly 2 Rex rabbits called Bubblegum and Dumbo.

I have always loved rabbits and have had many French lops over the years I have also had many other pets including a rescue chinchilla called Murphy who I had for over 22 years.

I have always had a passion for animals, I was previously a dog walker in Exeter and was looking to further my career in animal care so started with the Vets4Pets team in January 2023. It’s nice to still see some of my dog walking pups as clients here in the practice. At home I have an English Springer Spaniel called Buddy & 3 cats Toby, Felix, and Oakley who take up a lot of my time! 

I joined Vets4Pets team in January 2022, I had previously worked in retail so wanted a new challenge where everyday is different. It's lovely to work within such a supportive and helpful team. I love seeing all the different pets walk through the door everyday and its lovely to be able to see familiar faces with our clients and their pets.

At home I have 2 dogs, a Cockapoo called Eddie and a Mioritic Shepherd, called Nellie that we rescued from Romania in 2020.

Bronwen joined the Vets for Pets team in April 2021.  She has previous veterinary reception, retail and merchandising experience. Her special interests include pet nutrition, pet bereavement and support. Everyday it is a joy to see the wonderful dogs, cats, bunnies, guinea pigs and occasionally a few glorious rats who visit the practice. Spare time is spent exploring and photographing the lovely countryside.

My name is Marie and I am from Bangkok Thailand where I studied Veterinary Medicine. I then came to the UK to study a masters at the University of Exeter in 2021. I started working for Vets4Pets in January 2023. I love working with animals and being around them all day gives me happiness. 

My name is Pippa and I joined Vets4Pets in June of 2023. I live with my partner and Shetland Sheepdog mix called Arlo who is a bit bonkers! I also have two other dogs and two cats who live with my parents. I have previous experience working in the food industry and before starting at Vets4Pets, I worked as a Mental Health Support Worker in a locked rehab for females. Whilst working in the locked rehab, I had the pleasure of supporting some wonderful ladies with complex mental health conditions and gained invaluable experience along the way. I came to Vets4Pets after deciding that I wanted to work with animals & haven’t regretted it one bit. I love seeing all of the wonderful pets who come in and I look forward to seeing where this new journey leads me!

My name is Carli and I started working at Vets for Pets in November 2023.My background involves being a Registered Nurse for over 20 years, working with all age groups from 0-104 years.I retired from nursing in 2018 wanting new challenges and new experiences. And here I am at Vets for Pets, assisting in caring for people and their furry families. My ultimate goal in life is helping others. My hobbies are in horse-riding, skiing, MMA and reading.

I am a mum of 3 boys, a wife to my lovely husband. I have a history of owning, caring and adopting many animals including, sheep, horses, cows, rheas, pigs, ducks, chickens, geese, lizards, cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs.

My furry family now consists of 2 dogs – a German Shephard and Cocker Spaniel, along with 9 guinea pigs.
