Tshidi Gardiner
Veterinary Surgeon & Partner
I qualified in veterinary medicine in 2003 from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, fondly known by all graduates as Onderstepoort or “OP”. I moved to the UK in 2004 for the start of my travels, but stopped at the first post as I fell in love with Devon.
Over the years I dealt with animals of all sizes at all times of the day and night. After starting my family, I have concentrated on emergency medicine and critical care of the cat and dog, and my current interests lie in feline medicine, endocrinology and small furry medicine. I love my job and enjoy spending time with my clients and their animals. If you come down to the practice, you often find me cuddling a puppy or kitten, but I promise I do work the rest of the time.
I am married to my long suffering husband, Glen and we have two young but very active boys, Spencer and Tristan. I have ‘Puffy’ and ‘Venom’, our nocturnal Roborovski dwarf hamsters, Clive (Chinese hamster) and Tom (hamster). Most importantly we have Gordon who has joined us in the last 6 months – my gorgeous cat.
