Hey, I am Sam the owner of the Falkirk Practice.

My dream as a young child was to become a vet. After qualifying from the Royal Dick Vet in Edinburgh in 2010, I started my career up in Elgin in a mixed practice for a year.

I had always wanted to move back down to Central Scotland and was so pleased to be offered the Lead Veterinary Surgeon position at Falkirk Vets4Pets in September 2017.  I absolutely love working with such a great team, so much so that I decided to become the partner in November 2020.  It has been such a rewarding position watching the practice grow from where it was when I first started to where we are now. My favourite part of the job is getting to know all of our lovely clients and their "furry kids"!

I have a 10 year old Lab called Molly and we have just got a new American Bulldog puppy called Nebula, which Molly is over the moon about, as you can imagine!  :)   We also have two cats, Kev and Roxi.

We have a busy family life and most of my time out of work is spent doing fun family activities with the kids. I also love cycling and have recently started cycling into work again.

After graduating from University of Edinburgh’s Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in 2013, I worked in small animal practice in Yorkshire and Tyneside.

I moved back up to Scotland in 2017 as a locum at Vets4Pets Falkirk, before deciding to stay as a permanent staff member. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine - in particular internal medicine, emergency surgery and radiography.

Outside of work I enjoy reading, drawing, cinema and following Scotland at the rugby, as well as spending some well-earned down time with my two cats.

Thanks,
Catherine

Originally from New Hampshire in the USA, I graduated from New England College with a bachelors degree in biology. In 2016, I obtained my doctorate at the University of Edinburgh's Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies with a focus on small animal general practice and equine medicine and surgery. During my training I achieved a certificate in Falcon Medicine from the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital in the UAE and spent time in Egypt spaying and neutering stray dogs and cats. Upon graduation, I completed an internship at a specialty equine referral hospital in the USA. I then moved back to Scotland and joined the Vets4Pets Falkirk family in July 2017.
My special interests include surgery, ophthalmology, exotics medicine, and getting to know you and your pets!

Outside of work I enjoy hiking, horseback riding, travelling, baking, and spending time with my husband, young daughter and dog Aonghus (a Brittany).

I qualified from Glasgow University in 1988 and was in mixed practice for many years working with small animals, farm and equine.

I then joined Vets4Pets in 2014 and changed to small animal medicine only, and moved to the Falkirk practice in 2017.

I fairly recently rescued a little cat called Pie.

Born and raised in Falkirk, I had always dreamed of becoming a vet and grew up with animals around me from the moment I was born. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2019 knowing that small animals work was my calling. After a spell at a small animal practice near Motherwell I came back to work in Vets4Pets Falkirk in 2021.

The team have made me feel so welcome in the practice and have helped me grow and develop so much and genuinely made me love coming into work every morning!

I love all aspects of general practice but have an interest in medicine cases and interacting with all of our clients.

In my spare time I love to take my cat Zazu on adventures, socialising with friends and family and baking goodies for the team.

Hi, I am Yujia. I am a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh. After spending 5 years in Edinburgh, I fell in love with Scotland and decided to stay to be a small animal GP with a particular interest in Surgery.  I have been with Vets4Pets Falkirk since October 2021.

Previously, I got a Biology bachelor degree in China and was working in my university's lab to improve vaccines for Panda.

Outside of work, I love cooking and trying new recipes. I also enjoy walking in Scotland's nature - only when weather is nice though  :D

Look forward to meeting you all,  Yujia

I have been a member of the Falkirk family since February 2017!

I am passionate about animal care so everyday provides me with the opportunity to do this, from admitting patients to caring for them throughout the day until they are collected at night. Every day at the vets has variety, which can include, surgical nursing, medical nursing, dental assistant, radiology, laboratory, ordering supplies, consultations and of course general cleaning duties.

Animals have been a major part of my life since a young girl. Including horses, cows’ chickens, dogs and cats. I have run a boarding kennels and completed dog grooming course. Vet nursing in Australia for 17 years and now returning to homeland now a registered veterinary nurse in UK.

My other interests outside of work include cycling, family and friends and visiting new places.

I have three dogs at home: two Labradors - Smudge and Belle and a Patterdale called Tess.  Tess is especially fun, cute and cheeky. She hides the Lab's toys and generally keeps them in order. They do love her though, but its fun to watch all the group dynamics. They're hobbies include walking, running, camping, swimming and of course eating!  :)

The 'Furkids' and ' The Team ' bring so much joy everyday.

Thanks, Leeza

My name is Sophia and I am a receptionist at Vets4Pets Falkirk.  I started my career with Vets4Pets in 2017 when I was studying my Veterinary Care Assistant diploma.  After I qualified I then decided to start my training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse and I hope to qualify soon.

I love working at Vets4Pets as we have a great team. We treat a wide variety of different animals every day and no two days are the same.

My hobbies are Munro bagging, Rugby and I volunteer at a local animal sanctuary.

I don't have any pets of my own at the moment but I would LOVE a dog!  When I go hill walking I usually take one of the sanctuary dogs with me.  I also enjoy looking after my friends dogs when they go on holiday.

My name is Emily, I started my job here as a Veterinary Care Assistant in May 2022. I am due to sit a course this year on Veterinary Care Support to broaden my knowledge before going on to do Veterinary Nursing, which I am very excited about!

My favourite parts of my job are laboratory work where I prepare blood smears, test urine or prepare microscope slides for the vets to examine and of course cuddling the animals!

I adore my work family and all the patients that come in to see us. I enjoy how everyday is always different and brings new challenges! In my spare time I often cook for my family or go out with my friends.

I have 2 pets, a gorgeous black Labrador called Pepper and a crazy silver Scottish Fold named Doug. They are my pride and joy :)

Hi, I’m Yvonne and I have worked at Vets4Pets Falkirk for 5 years in July. I have been a Client Care Advisor for 4 and a half years but have recently been promoted to Client Service Manager, which I am thoroughly enjoying. I love all the team at Falkirk Vets4Pets and all our clients and their gorgeous pets. I have always been an animal lover from a young age. I often look after my boyfriend's dog Cody, whom my family all love very much so we recently ended up getting our own little cockapoo puppy, Harris. I also have my little bunny rabbit, Maisie, who will be 7 in the summer.

Hopefully I will get a few more pets in the future.

Thanks,
Yvonne

Hey, I am Lindsay.  I am originally from the North East of Scotland and I was offered the chance to start a career with animals so I moved down here to pursue a dream!

I started working at Vets4Pets in Falkirk as a receptionist in June 2021. I would like to take my career further in the near future and become a Veterinary Care Assistant where I would be working alongside the vets and nurses and be more hands on with the patients.

I am a massive animal lover, but cats are my favourite!  The bigger the better in my eyes.  I also work alongside wild cats, such as Servals and all generations of Savannahs where I have also gained a lot of knowledge and now have a few years of experience gained with these breeds of cats, which has been fascinating and rewarding.

I also have a massive sift spot for Daschunds and hope to own one some day!
