Paul Gunning BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

Paul studied at Dartford Grammar School and left in June 2006, he then started at the Royal Veterinary College 4 months later, graduating in July 2011. He has a very keen interest in small animal surgery particularly orthopaedics and is undertaking a post graduate certificate to become an Advanced Practitioner.

In his spare time he can often be found walking his beloved Hungarian Vizsla, Ruby and you may even see him out running on the road in the local areas.

Practice Administrator

Abi joined the team in October 2015 firstly as Practice Manager, she then went on Maternity leave to have her daughter and came back a year later as Practice Administrator.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, taking her on walks with their Hungarian Vizsla Ruby and snuggling with her Ragamuffin cat Bruno.

Practice Manager

Jo has been a Veterinary Receptionist for the past nine years, she previously worked at an Exotics Centre before joining our team. Joanne worked for the team as a Receptionist for a year before being promoted to Practice Manager.

She loves her job and has two children, one a high flyer in the city and the other at University in Cheltenham. Her hobbies include cycling and looking after her twin grandbabies!

Hayley Hygate

Head Veterinary Nurse

Hayley qualified as an RVN in February 2006 whilst working in a busy Veterinary Hospital. She then went on to work as a night nurse and then as a referral ophthalmology nurse. After having her two daughters, she worked part time for another Vets4Pets before joining our team in May 2015.

At home, as well as her two daughters she has three cats, all of which are spoilt rotten! In her spare time Hayley can be found with her head in a good book!

Maria Cox

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Maria qualified as an RVN in 2010, but had been in practice since 2005. She has worked at several different practices before taking maternity leave to have her son. She then worked for the team for a year before taking Maternity leave recently to have her daughter.

At home, as well as her son and daughter she has two cats. In her spare time she enjoys jogging and Pilates.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Emily joined the team in August 2016 after moving from Essex to Gravesend where she worked for eight years at a busy Veterinary Practice. She qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2014 and has a keen interest in Canine Behaviour.

At home she has three Dogs, Bonnie, Shadow and Storm as well as three Terrapins which keep her busy in her spare time.

Angela has been nursing for more than 10 years after qualifying in 2001, over the past five years she had been a Locum Nurse working temporarily at numerous Vet Practices. In December 2016 she joined the team on a short term basis for maternity cover and in July 2017 was offered the permanent position.

She has two cats called Lettuce (who really is wet) and Kooky who is crazy. In her spare time she enjoys Swimming, DIY, Socialising and writing poetry.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Jessie studied at Mayfield Grammar School prior to starting her degree in Animal Behavioural Science and Welfare at the University of Greenwich. She graduated in 2014 with a desire to work with companion animals and so when we opened in May, she took the opportunity to join our team. She aims to begin her training and qualify as a Veterinary Nurse with us in the near future.

Her pride and joy is her Sphynx cat Bilbo. He keeps her busy on her days off playing fetch and going for walks together.

Receptionist

Denise joined the team in October 2015. She has a cat and two beautiful granddaughters that keep her busy in her spare time.

Receptionist

Lou has worked for Vets4Pets for the past two and a half year, starting out at Blackheath before moving on to Gravesend.

She has three cats, Pickles, Oliver and Bowie for whom she is a glorified can opener! In her spare time she loves hanging out at home with her fur babies, reading and drawing.
