Seán Dunne MVB MRCVS

Partner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from University College Dublin in 2001. After a spell on Anglesey and a year in Leicester, I settled on the Wirral in 2005. I joined Prenton Vets4Pets in 2012.

I felt the Vets4Pets way of doing things suited me quite well and I opened Greasby Vets4Pets with Matt Pope in October 2014.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work both medical and surgical but have a special interest in dermatology. I hope to, when time allows, further my education in this area.

I live locally with my wife and son. I spend my free time chasing him around the various parks and beaches we are lucky enough to have here on the Wirral.

Partner & Veterinary Surgeon

My interest in animals began at a young age; it eventually led me to study veterinary science at Liverpool University. I qualified as a vet in 1994.

Whilst I have done my share of large animal work I decided to specialise in small animal practice. I have worked on the Wirral since 2001 and decided to open Prenton Vets4Pets in 2009.

Currently the practices take up a lot of my time but when I am not working I like to be out and about, either walking or riding my mountain bike. In winter I generally get away snowboarding.

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from Liverpool Uni in 2001 and remained on the Wirral after graduation. My Pre-veterinary background in Zoology and biological research means I have a very broad range of professional interests; baking and Radio 6 music fill the remainder.

My current gang of pets include an Italian Spinone called Claude, a black Labrador called Zaide and a Herman Tortoise called Toots. Ferrets, tropical fish and a giant rabbit called Cuthbert have all been through our house over the past 25 years.

Registered veterinary nurse

I came into veterinary nursing after working in the equine industry for 20 years, in this country and abroad. I qualified in 2008 through Myerscough College and joined the Vets4Pets team at Greasby in 2017.

I have cold water fish, 2 snails called Mabel and Tom and 4 shrimp. I am a keen gardener and have 1 1/2 acres of garden and ponds to look after which take up a lot of spare time, but it looks beautiful! I also enjoy walking and camping.

Lisa Maguire

Veterinary Care Assistant

I have always had a love for animals and growing up with a variety of pets and attending horse riding lessons when I was younger made my decision that working with animals would be the perfect job for me. I have 3 cats, fish and a chicken.

I studied Animal Management at Reaseheath College and then went on to study BSc Animal Behaviour at Liverpool John Moores University. I have carried out a variety of work placements with domestic and exotic species working in kennels, catteries, dog groomers and zoos.

During university I completed studies on Ring Tailed Lemurs for my dissertation and I have also volunteered in the Butterfly House at Chester Zoo.

Sam Dunne

Practice Manager

I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2004. I always knew I wanted to work with animals and specifically in a Veterinary Surgery. I love not knowing what will come through the door or what challenges you will face as they change day to day.

I joined Greasby Vets4Pets as Practice Manager in 2017 to help my husband Seán run the practice as it has grown from small quiet beginnings in October 2014 into the thriving practice we have today.

We have two lively rats called Chase & Mike who like to eat and play. A good life!
