Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine

Jonathan graduated from the University of Oxford and the Royal Veterinary College, London and has always worked in small animal practice, most recently in small animal hospitals in South Wales and Cambridge. He gained the RCVS certificate in Small Animal Medicine in 2015 and since 2016 is an RCVS recognised Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine.

He is currently completing the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Anaesthesia. Jonathan wants to offer the best quality care and latest techniques in medicine and surgery to all his patients and their owners. His main interests are cardiology and oncology but he enjoys to work up any complex medical case.

Outside of work, Jonathan has a busy family life with two young children and two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. He enjoys baking, running and cycling when time permits! He is very excited to be able to offer a first class veterinary service to Haverhill's pets and their owners.

Gloria De Palma

MVB, PhD, MRCVS

Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

Gloria graduated in Italy in 1996 where she worked in a small animal practice while starting her PhD in Infectious Diseases, which she completed in the year 2000. She has been working with companion animals in the UK for the last 16 years, the last 9 of which as Head Veterinary Surgeon for a big hospital with a busy out of hours service.

Gloria’s main fields of interest are internal medicine and dermatology and she thrives in creating that rapport of mutual trust with the client and their pets which she believes is the very essence of the high standard of care she strives to provide.

In her spare time - whatever that means! - she enjoys running, dancing, cooking and spending time with her daughter and her cats. Over the last 3 years she has also gained qualification as a hypnotherapist and a counsellor (for human beings, not pets!)
