Vets4Pets Hayling Island

Meet the team

Daniele MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Milan, Italy, in 2001 and moved to England in 2008. When my wife and I moved to Hayling we fell in love with the local community. The opportunity to open a clinic on the island and be the local vet seemed just perfect! What makes my day is when the owner of an animal tells me that the treatment I have prescribed has made them feel better. Artiglio is my little tiger-cat. He loves people but he is very territorial when other cats come into our garden. When it’s dry, he spends most of the day in the garden, but when it gets cold and dark he claims his cuddles and the sofa. My little boy cannot run and jump as a normal cat because his mum had a viral infection when she was pregnant with him. The virus destroyed part of his brain causing his coordination to be very poor. This is why I will never tire of recommending owners to have their pets regularly vaccinated!!

Federica MRCVS, PcG SAO

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified in Milan, Italy, in 2007 and spent the past 10 years caring for my fluffy patients. I moved to England in 2009 and have been working in small animal charity and private practice since then. I am passionate about Veterinary Ophthalmology and have obtained the GpCert (Ophthal) post-graduate qualification in 2014. I believe each and every one of our patients are different from one another and very special, and I thoroughly enjoy getting to know their cheeky characters. Life at the practice is busy with poorly pets and nothing compares with seeing them get better and wagging their happy tails again!

Head Veterinary Nurse

I joined the team as Head Nurse in December 2017. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in July 2016 after completing the FDSC Veterinary Nursing Science degree at Sparsholt College. At home I have 3 Guinea Pigs (Ariadne, Lady Brienne and Eddard Stark) and a 10yr old Bengal X called Harvey. I have a keen interest in exotic nursing and I am looking to do additional work with reptiles and physiotherapy.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I joined the Vets4Pets Hayling Island team in September 2017 as a Veterinary Care Assistant, and I am looking forward to being the surgery’s first Student Veterinary Nurse in the New Year! My favourite part of the job is recovering animals after surgery and seeing our clients with their pets for nurse clinics. I have worked for a variety of veterinary practices across the South Coast since 2014 in reception/administrative roles, including a specialist referral practice. I have two spaniels, a 12 year old English springer spaniel called Millie, and a 4 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel rescue called Chester, both of whom are my furry children! I have recently moved and officially become an ‘Islander’, and I am loving the coastal walks and becoming a part of the community.I also enjoy putting my feet up with a nice meal after a busy shift at the practice and watching TV series!

Student Veterinary Nurse

I joined the team as an Auxiliary Nurse in August 2017 on a traineeship, and I am now looking forward to starting my Veterinary Care Assistant diploma, with the goal of working towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future. I have always wanted to work with animals since I was little. Working at Vets4Pets Hayling Island has been very rewarding and great fun, I have learnt a lot from the team.I enjoy assisting with surgery, but my favourite part of the job is seeing the progress our patients have made. I have two pets, a ginger tabby cat called Nugget and a ball python called Elijah. In my spare time I love drawing, painting and going out with my friends.

My name is Sylvia, one of the veterinary receptionists. Working at Vets4Pets is a new and wonderful experience for me, I'm enjoying getting to meet lovely pets and their owners. As a child I was always the one that volunteered to look after the classroom pets during school holidays. We as a family always had animals in the house; I grew up with dogs, cats, and budgies. Being around animals is a great thing and I am lucky for it to be part of my job. I am working with a wonderful team and I am so proud of our new practice. In my spare time I love walking, reading, knitting, going to the theatre and cinema, and not forgetting having my grandchildren to stay.

I joined the Vets4Pets Hayling Island team in October 2017. This is my first role in a veterinary practice after working in customer service, but I have always had a passion for animals, and as a child I had numerous pets ranging from goldfish, to cats, to a ball python! I took on my dog Tia just over a year ago, and she certainly lives up to the bubbly and loving personality of a Staffie! I enjoy being part of such a caring team who really do put animals first. I have always wanted to work with animals so when I got this opportunity I was so amazed and thankful to get my foot in the door!
