Vets4Pets Hayling Island

Meet the team

Veterinary Surgeon and Practice Owner

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in Milan, Italy, in 2001 and moved to England in 2008. When my wife and I moved to Hayling we fell in love with the local community. The opportunity to open a clinic on the island and be the local vet seemed just perfect! What makes my day is when the owner of an animal tells me that the treatment I have prescribed has made them feel better. Artiglio is my little tiger-cat. He loves people but he is very territorial when other cats come into our garden. When it’s dry, he spends most of the day in the garden, but when it gets cold and dark he claims his cuddles and the sofa. My little boy cannot run and jump as a normal cat because his mum had a viral infection when she was pregnant with him. The virus destroyed part of his brain causing his coordination to be very poor. This is why I will never tire of recommending owners to have their pets regularly vaccinated!!

Registered Veterinary Nurse

My name is Lindsay and I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2015 having worked in practice full time for five years. I have always loved working with/caring for animals and previous to my veterinary nursing career I volunteered at Seaview Wildlife Park on the IOW as well as working for the RSPCA which I really enjoyed. In my spare time my hobbies include being active, spending time with my family and friends including of course my furry friends.

Veterinary Care Assistant

Having worked in Veterinary for the last 8 years, being a veterinary care assistant at Vets4Pets is my first clinical role and I am enjoying working within such a friendly and supportive team and looking forward to progressing my clinical knowledge. I have 5 pets; a Rottweiler called Tyler and 4 cats; Simba, Tigger, Myah and Summer. My furry family take up a lot of my spare time which I love, particularly walking in the countryside and cuddles. The only downside to such a large furry family is the battle for the sofa every evening which I normally lose!

My name is Sylvia, one of the veterinary receptionists. Working at Vets4Pets is a new and wonderful experience for me, I'm enjoying getting to meet lovely pets and their owners. As a child I was always the one that volunteered to look after the classroom pets during school holidays. We as a family always had animals in the house; I grew up with dogs, cats, and budgies. Being around animals is a great thing and I am lucky for it to be part of my job. I am working with a wonderful team and I am so proud of our new practice. In my spare time I love walking, reading, knitting, going to the theatre and cinema, and not forgetting having my grandchildren to stay.

I have been a full time receptionist since joining Vets4Pets in July 2011, transferring to the Hayling Island branch in October 2016. I have a Cavalier King Charles dog called Merlin who loves the beach and long walks in the countryside. I love all things cute and cuddly and can never resist a hug!
