I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and graduated from Askham Bryan College York in 2014. I prefer small animal practice but have assisted in a sheep caesarean as a student nurse which was a very cool experience.

I have a three legged chihuahua called Della who enjoys long walks in the hills of the Yorkshire Dales, Peak District and the Lake District. Having three legs does not hold her back, she'd be out all day, everyday if she could. I currently have tropical fish and have in the past owned rabbits, rats, mice and shaw's jirds.

I joined Vets for Pets Hemsworth in March 2020 and what I like the most about working here is that I get to work with a friendly team of people, who all have high standards for their work.

I’ve worked for Vets for Pets since 2016, My aim for the future is to go on to study as a Student Veterinary Nurse and hopefully qualify as an RVN.

I really enjoy in-patient care and learning new nursing skills.

I have one dog myself, a Chihuahua cross called Rusty, who loves all the attention!

When I’m not at work, being with family and friends is very important to me, and I love to travel.

Hi, I’m Lesley. I’m a Senior RVN at Hemsworth, where I’ve been a proud team member since January 2024. I started my nursing career in 2002 at a busy, fast paced RSPCA hospital in London. I qualified as a RVN in 2010 after moving to Yorkshire in 2006. I have a particular interest in feline nursing and care, completing my ISFM Feline Nursing diploma in 2021.

I enjoy all aspects of nursing and am recognised as an all-round multidisciplinary nurse, providing comprehensive care to animals under my care. Nurse consultations and education and surgical nursing are areas where I'm particularly invested, ensuring that pets receive the best care possible.

Since joining Hemsworth, I've remained committed to upholding the highest standards of veterinary nursing, aiming to positively impact the well-being of every pet entrusted to our care.

Outside of work, I spend valuable time with my family and enjoy crafts and baking.
